About this listen

As the King wages his never-ending war against the demons infiltrating The Breach, the nobles have grown weary, and some don’t believe the threat is real.

So, Evan must travel across Rahma to win back the lords’ loyalty to the king.

And he’s more motivated than ever now, because he will soon become a father.

But Evan quickly realizes the kingdom’s unrest is greater than he realized.

Thankfully, he’s a Dragon Lord.

And dragons always get what they want.

Diplomacy? Ha

First, love the story. Future fatherhood is a definite opportunity for some plot twists. Getting the Red Dragon to move? Genius.
Look forward to book 7

A worthwhile listen

I like the overall story, and the characters are interesting, even if the performance differs a from how I imagined them when I first read the books.

My only gripe is that cultivation was brought into this book, but the main literary use of level based strengthening systems like cultivation aren’t used here. Cultivation novels use realms as a loose reference for power levels and help readers gauge how a character is growing and how they measure against others. Here, the story basically uses a loose magic system that they call cultivation as flavor text. Most of the time, it feels like Evan wins or looses his fight just because it moves the plot.

My other gripe is that there isn’t a ton of development for the characters. Sometimes it seems like Evan is learning about being a lord and ruler and usually a short time later its proven wrong as he falls back on, “I’m a dragon, so blah blah blah…”

Overall, its an entertaining listen for my long car drives alone. Don’t listen in mixed company.

Finally Dryad lovin'

Been waiting for the Polina, Trina, and Marina to get into some...extracurricular activities lol and it was worth the wait. Evan got to flex his power and their journey has just started.

Another Author that Doesn't Understand Distance

Story is awesome. I love the character development, the erotic scenes are well described without getting uncouth. The fight scenes are nice especially since not everything goes the main characters way. However, I have one complaint. This appears to be an issue with many authors. They don't understand distance. Spoiler here. There is one scene where the author describes a VAST distance as 70 yards. Then describes how long it takes to travel that distance in an emergency. Just for reference a HUMAN has run 40 yard dash in 4.22 seconds. That's less than 8 seconds to go 70.
