Publisher's summary

What would you do if you were the most powerful dungeon deity in the world and the bindings keeping you trapped within your dungeon were broken? Would you escape? Would you acquire a party of beautiful female minions? Would you use your new minions to conquer other dungeon deities, consume their magic, and grow even more powerful? Would you take over the world? Would you then take over the heavens and destroy the gods?

Yes, you would do all of the above.

Unique

Unique take on dungeon cores and I have to say I loved the varied characters. I can't wait to see more of "Master's" background revealed.

Really Enjoyable

So far I can say everything has been quite enjoyable from this author and narrator. This book made me want to keep listening. The story had the right amounts of everything in it too keep it captivating and the narration of it was done fairly well.

lighthalk

enjoy the books so far. It can get a little slow depending on your taste, the main character you have to understand is a god now in a human Avatar and is trying to help his minions increase in their skill

Awesome.

Joshua did an amazing job and I was honestly surprised mostly because I started Eric's books with succubus lord so I was skeptical about not having a female voice actress. but like I said Joshua Blew it out of the park.

its just... everyone in the world is kind of dumb

occasionally a struggle to continue. the characters are pretty rough and one dimensional, mc is pretty hard to support, and, as the title of my review states, everyone comes across as childishly stupid. I hope the next ones are better, because it's a neat concept and Josh Story does a pretty good job of getting into the MC's character. hopefully we see some positive character development as well.

struggled to finish

This story didn't pull me in. It was an interesting concept but poorly executed. The voice over actors didn't help.

Not too bad

For a first book, it wasn't bad, however, there are some aspects that are rather annoying. I think some of the previous reviewers were mistaken in believing the main character was an evil deity. Easy enough to do when it says he was cast out of the Heavens. Given that he is not evil I can see how he would want to care for and assist his minions with their development...and they need a lot of development! I found the female characters to be utterly stupid at times, completely ignoring valid facts others pointed out. Someone in their profession would have done a better job of listening to others. Also, the way they bicker at each other got on my nerves after a while. There was no real growth for the only male character and I'm not sure if that was on purpose so we can see the women learning and growing instead. Perhaps as a fallen deity, he has no growth left?

It isn't a bad story, to say the least, but there are aspects of it that could have been done better I feel. I'll probably purchase the next audible book to see if it gets better or not. Joshua Story did a good job with the narration of the story. The only complaint is that after a while the male characters voice began to wear on me. I think it might have been better to use a normal voice for the Narration such as "She said...." rather than using the main male protagonist's voice.
