About this listen

From humble beginnings, a heroine will be forged in fire.

Forced to retreat from the army of the dead with her remaining force of Raiders and their dragons, Lila begins to despair that her people will ever be anything but a ragtag band. Even wielding the fabled crown of Roskilde, she cannot unite the Raiders - it seems she is not the one to fulfill Danu’s cherished prophecy.

But Danu isn’t giving up yet. Though he suspects the evil Havick has obtained an ancient book that will allow him unspeakable power, help may come from an unlikely source: the dragon Riders of Torvald. These brave warriors could be their last chance to defeat the evil of Lars and Havick - but they are also the Raiders’ sworn enemies. Now, Lila, Danu, Crux, and their friends have no choice but to make a perilous journey into hostile territory to seek allies against the darkness threatening to consume them all. To save her friends, Lila must become the legendary leader she was born to be.

Dragon Prophecy

A great finish to the Sea Dragon Trilogy. As the evil forces continue to grow, it becomes more likely that the prophecy will come to fruition. Lila is the key...

Ava Richardson created a unique and entertaining storyline. Magic and dragons... what’s not to love!

A fine narration by Jean Ann Douglass.

A thrilling ride

I’m sad that this series ended, but this book was the epic conclusion it needed. Great characters, a great and well moving story, and a setting you’ll want to imagine! I really enjoyed the listen and narration. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Predictable ending but great fun getting there

This is the twelfth book I’ve read/listened to by this author and I’ve enjoy every one. They are entertaining, easy listens with a bit of a fresh storyline. The separate series still have common threads. I anticipated the end but it was still fun getting there.
The chapters flip from Lila to Danu’s perspective. In this book Danu and Lila both come into their own. They accept their destinies and become the people they are capable of and needed to be. But it’s not easy, and they need help, from ones they’d not expected to ask for help from.

This is the fourth book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Jean Ann Douglas ) and I would listen to another. Lila’s voice and Danu’s were more distinct and I could hear the difference more in this book. She does well bringing the story to life. She I’d definitely telling/acting the story, not just reading it.

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

Narrator lost me for it

This is the 4th series by this author I’ve read/heard. I disliked this narrator enough that it took me three times as long to get through it compared to the others. This is the 3rd book in this trilogy and her voices changed from book to book, which made me have to readjust to the narrator each time instead of continuing on like one book. May not be as much a problem to some but voice is a huge role in whether or not I buy a book so it irritated me to no end. I’d probably have enjoyed the series more in book format vs audible, because that was my biggest complaint.
