About this listen

Magic comes to Dragon School. Can it be trusted?

With First Flight behind her, 16-year-old Amel believes she can finally settle into her studies and learn to be a Dragon Rider.

But when a friend is brutally injured, another has a dark secret, and Amel is entrusted with a vital message, she must question where her loyalties lie. Worse, Magikas have arrived at Dragon School and they bring both change and new prejudice against Amel.

With the home Amel found at Dragon School quickly disappearing, will she know who to trust or will her new friendships disappear as quickly as her safety?

Fans of Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Rider's of Pern, Christopher Paolini's Eragon, and Rachel E. Carter's First Year will love Dragon School.

Exciting!

After the first book, I thought the story might slow down a little. Wrong! I can’t wait to read the next!

A defying read!

Magic comes to Dragon School...
Can it be trusted?

Everything is happening so fast that I can't keep up (but that is good!). Whoa... was it a good, short and quick read that keeps you on your toes. Love reading the character's adventures and navigation of this whole new world.

I enjoyed returning to Dragon School and reading from the MC's perspective. A pleasing, stunning and awesome read! Do not miss this series!

Full of dragons, dragon riders, magic, secrecy, conspiracies, loyalty, honour and bravery.

Perfect for readers of fantasy reads.

Good narration.

Enjoyable

This book picks up right where the first left off, and the initiates are sent on a mission. This book has a lot more action.

Another Great Adventure!

Just like the first book in the series, this one is short, and action packed! The bond between rider and dragon grows, as does the political intrigue and action. Again, I wish these weren't so short, but the series is too great to pass up, and besides, did someone say Dragon?

Book 2

This book starts about a week after the first book ends. Amel is questioning her loyalties while trying to help a hurt friend. Very fast pace and short. Different narrator but not too shabby. 👍

Hard listen

The narrator..... Man she is a challenge to get through. Which is sad because she really does have a great voice and potential to be awesome. She just doesn't have any expression while reading. Somber moments sound the same as high stress moments.

The story is well thought out and beginning to pick up. Some parts do seem rushed but I wonder of that is because of a word count restraint to keep the story in this episode format.

The more I listen the more I am connecting the story to those that I read growing up of badass lead female characters that provide great role models for the pre-teen/young teenager age group. I am hoping to story continues to unfold that way. I think my two daughters would really enjoy the story as they get older.

All in all I am excited to see what happens next.

Slow & Steady Till You Hit a Quick Ending

This “episode” was rather short for me. I was expecting a bit more excitement since the kids become initiates by surviving their first flight. It doesn’t even really highlight the ones who failed either. Or put any stress on who was first rider and if they failed or succeeded. It was really slow for me until the final few chapters where it all of a sudden hits turbo. Amel is a little too honorable for her own good, but I think shes in for a rude awakening on humanity’s true colors soon. Politics is starting to come into play, and I wish Wilson had taken the time to set up the surrounding world by now so that bits and pieces would start falling into place sooner, but it’s still interesting and captivating enough to keep going with the story.

Trouble at Dragon School

Amel knows something is seriously wrong when Lane arrives back at the school barely conscious and with an arrow in his back. Before he loses consciousness he gives her a message case to guard.
She delivers it to an imperial representative, just as the Magikas arrive .. and then things really fall apart.
This is the second installment of a series, so there's not a lot resolved, but there's lots of nail-biting adventure, more bonding with Amel's dragon and a chance to save Lane.
A good read - well read.

Way too short for the money!

The story itself isn't bad. In fact, it's pretty good. However, for the price I paid for this book , it was way too short!! if I were paying by the minute, this is the most expensive books that I have ever read / listen to!! I will not support this highway robbery. the narrator sounds like a first grade teacher reading to her students and the story isn't worth that much money! this series is extremely overpriced for the length and quality!!! I will not be buying any more books from this author or narrator!!! it's like they want a full price for a book for each of their chapters!
