About this listen

A mysterious force holds Krynn in thrall. A young woman, protected by her regiment of dark-armored knights, calls upon the might of an unknown god to bring victory to her army as it sweeps across the land. The souls of the dead rob the living of their magic. A dragon overlord threatens the very land the elves hold most dear.

Amidst the chaos, a band of brave and selfless heroes struggles against an immortal power that appears to thwart them at every turn. The encroaching darkness threatens to engulf all hope, all faith, all light.

The War of Souls rages on.

The story is fine but once again the narrator makes everyone sound like a child. And I can't say it enough, learn the pronunciation of major franchise character names for crying out loud!!!

Everyone's a child

The narrator makes the elves sound like Keebler elves. Which makes me hungry for cookies

Great story bad narrator

This series is brilliant and I highly recommend it. But the thing is, I’m blind. So I’m stuck with audiobooks. For some reason the narrator hits most of the notes in this one. (She’s brilliant, I just wish had read up on gods last names. her mispronunciations in a long running series are VERY jarring in book 1 and especially in book 3 when you find the identity of The One God. And her name is used constantly.) If you get any of the audiobooks in this series get this one.
And as always feel free to listen to the sample. You may disagree with me.

The strongest of the trilogy

Once again ,the story was amazing . The narrator...sounds like a 5 yr old just learning to read. Mispronouncing tons of words . She clearly isnt educated enough for this job. It took everything in me to finish this amazing story. You could not pay me to listen to this narrator again .

The story is awesome

Good story. The reader is not great, but is not terrible. The ending was fantastic.

A Solid Dragonlance Story

Story is absolutely fantastic, love Dragonlance more than any other books I’ve ever read. Not to sound overdramatic but the discovery of the Dragonlance series books 25 years ago possibly saved me from committing suicide. I enjoyed them so much it changed and saved my life. With that said, this narrator is absolutely horrible. She mispronounces common English words, names, makes elves sound like Keebler elves that should be in a tree baking cookies. Was there NO resource available to her to consult in order to at least learn how to pronounce “Majere” for instance? (Majeery? Really?)

So yeah that’s my review, I hope it doesn’t detract from the authors.

How is this woman a narrator?

I found the story hard to get started at first but once it gets going you want to find out how it all turns out. But I swear narrators should be required to get samples of previous narrators saying the names of characters because this one should be punished for "Ma jeery" and others

Surprisingly Good story TERRIBLE Narration
