Wow! Highly Recommend!

Becker’s stories about managing change, whether change found him, or he chased it, like he did the suspect in the corn field, are valuable to anyone experiencing or seeking new adventures. The storytelling is phenomenal and the life and leadership lessons at the end of each story are relevant to everyone. People like Josh are the ones you want on your side.

It felt like I was watching a good movie

There are a few Authors that can keep by attention for 100% of an audio book and Josh Becker did that. If this was a Netflix show I would binge the entire season . It was entertaining and informative. I enjoyed it so much that I ignored all calls that came in while I was listening. I'm ordering some hard copies for people I know would enjoy it as well.

No man is an island. Keep your friends close.

A heartfelt story written by a dad to his sons about diving into life head first and embracing the special moments, letting go of the past, staying true to yourself, and being positive and thankful through the ups and downs. Josh gives credit where credit is due and is gracious with his praise for his wife, family, and friends throughout.

This collection of stories is a great reminder that life comes at you fast and how you react to the highs and lows can determine how your future plays out. Throughout this book Josh emphasizes the importance of having true friendships along your life's journey and gives numerous accounts that would have not been complete without the amazing supporting characters sprinkled throughout this comical yet reflective narrative of his life so far. The nuggets of wisdom at the end of each chapter are a nice touch.

This book brought back some great memories and has given me some much needed motivation at a point in my life when I needed it the most. Hearing Josh narrate this book brought a smile to my face because it was almost as if he were here chatting over beers.

Full disclosure: We met Josh and Katie when they were in the process of opening the BBQ restaurant in Grand Forks, ND. Actually, we were their biggest fans on social media before we met them in person. As a military family / Texas transplants we were eager to learn that Texas BBQ was arriving in the great white north and couldn't contain ourselves.

As someone who spent 6 years working in the law enforcement field as a dispatcher, a private pilot, a military spouse, a 25+ year business owner, and a dad of two boys, I can certainly relate to everything he talks about in this book. The story of Josh's life reminds me of the importance of being humble, working hard, and nurturing the friendships that sustain you throughout your life.

I look forward to the next chapter in the life of Josh Becker and would really love to see a book that has more Air Force and Texas State Trooper stories.
