About this listen

Classes continue at Haylon academy. Ken has identified who's behind the attacks on his Fieore and is determined to remove that particular problem, yet Haylon rules prevents him from taking it into his own hands.

As they dive deeper into the dungeon, Crimson prepares him and the rest of the first years on how to camp in the dungeon. When their camping exercise is interrupted, Ken's done and this time he means business.

Ken is going all out and his abilities tell him one thing, Ken was never trained as an adventurer. Ken was trained as an assassin.

Love the New Narrators

I love the new narrators. I listened to the first book in the series, but stopped because I didn't care for the narrators. However, I'm really enjoying the second book with the new narrators. They are the same as the "Ard's Oath" narrators if I'm not mistaken, which is my favorite fantasy series so it's almost like getting to continue it. In fact I can't wait for the next book in that series to come out next month.

Please keep using these narrators. They have the best chemistry and make every conversation come alive. They are just a pleasure to listen to.

The travesty of the VA switch continues......

The story over all is good, but the narration (in comparison to originals, if you have never heard the originals this review wont make sense), is poor. With the addition of the comedic relief characters, that are falling flat, the performance rating drops to 1 star. Poor Harley, Bunbun and Grandpa.

Side characters start to make a more predominant role in the story, you start to really see a gap between the original narration and this version. Grandpa is no longer humorous at all its just cringie as hell, speaking of cringe the voice for Bunbun was extremely disappointing. I thought maybe Chris would use his Frank voice but no, we got something close to RFK jr with throat cancer. Also the scene with Fey's father was less than enjoyable and rough to get through, not that the originals made the scene spectacular, but it was better than what we are force fed in this Narration.

Overall, enjoyment drops in this book as the comedic relief characters arent funny.
