Publisher's summary

It takes a killer, to catch a killer.

Logan Wolf was the Behavioral Analysis Unit's most-respected profiler. Then, a serial killer murdered his wife, and tore his life apart. Now, he's a vigilante fugitive, hiding from the FBI, while he hunts the nation's deadliest criminals.

When a college student and her boyfriend vanish in West Texas, Wolf suspects the Devil's Rock killer. But, the FBI hasn't captured the murderer, and after a decade of terror, the trail is turning cold.

Posing as the missing girl's uncle, Wolf investigates the tiny town of Dusk Corners, the last place anyone saw the students alive. But the local sheriff doesn't trust Wolf, and it's just a matter of time before he learns Wolf's true identity.

To solve the mystery, Wolf must dodge the FBI and power-hungry sheriff. But a killer, deadlier than any he's encountered, lies in wait.

In Dusk Corners, danger lurks in every shadow.

Great storytelling kept me glued

Love the story. Narrator takes some getting used to, but if you can get past that, it’s a good story

Sometimes you have to become a killer to catch killers…

Former FBI profiler, Logan Wolf, was once on the fast track to lead the BAU. Now he is on the FBI’s Wanted list. Wolf spends his time tracking serial killers and delivering his justice. This time he is hunting a killer who targets women traveling through a small Texas town. Along the way, Wolf befriends a young woman who reminds him of his dead wife…woe to those killers who abduct her.
Good start to this new series.

Great story!

Like the title said, great story! The only thing I wasn’t a fan of the as the main character’s voice, as previous posters stated. Based on key phrases I can tell it was written that way on purpose and not the fault of the narrator. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I just pictured his voice to be more gruff (rode hard if that makes sense) instead of someone who should be judging wine tasting. Other than that I liked it and would be interested in reading the next one!

DNF

I May have liked this if it were not for the narrator. it was so distracting I could not finish it. I think I may try to read it.

Poor narration; great story

The voice for the hero was abysmal. I almost returned the book as soon as I heard it; not sure why his was so awful when the others were fine. However, the story kept me listening. I’ll not be listening to the other books in the series though if they use the same narrator.

Terrible Narrator

This narrator is so terrible, especially with the voice of the main character. I wish I hadn’t wasted a credit on this book!

First audible book probably my last

I normally read but thought I’d try audible. The narrator was awful. Not sure if horrible narration ruined the story or if both were bad. I can’t believe I finished it.
