About this listen

Welcome to the ER. Meet Emma Steele, ER doc, single mother, and wine lover.

As if her life wasn't complicated enough, people start dropping like flies in her rural ER. As she looks for the cause, she gets caught in a web of deception and death, threatening everything she loves. Using her courage and medical knowledge, Emma fights the fight of her life to protect those she holds dear. Will she destroy the evil, or will it crush her first?

Her challenges? A community decimated by the raging opioid epidemic; a charming psychopath who deals in drugs and sex; a daughter who hates her; an ex who doesn't. And a police dog with PTSD.

You'll love ER Crimes if blood and gore give you the warm fuzzies, or if you long to understand the mind of a serial killer.

ER Crimes is a medical pause resister, packed with twists and turns, compelling characters, and dark ER humor. Medicine meets suspense in the vein of Gerritsen and Cornwell.

Trio of serial killer/hospital stories

These three books are great fun. The narrator is spot on. The chances of three separate serial killers in one hospital in the span of a year aren't quite realistic, but, hey, we don't read pleasure books for reality, do we? They are very well-written and very well-narrated and definitely an entertaining ride.
I was provided this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Truly enjoyable

As a nurse, I truly enjoyed this book! The different ER patients that came and went throughout the story made me feel right at home.

Good Medical Thriller

I totally enjoyed listening to these 3 books each with a different mystery in the ER setting with good narration. Really enjoyed the character of Dr. Emma Steele as well as a few others such as Vera, Margaret even Guinness, her daughter is a typical teenager. There are a few characters that you will dislike. Recommend if you like a good medical thriller and learn what can go on in an ER.I would like more of the author’s books. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU

Story Hard to Follow

I wasn’t sure which character was talking. The German Shepard’s thoughts along with each different character was so confusing. I have never had a book where the animal was doing the talking. It was hard to follow and I won’t choose a book again by this author

Cannot finish tis one.

The characters are one dimensional, and the narration leaves much to be desired. The speaker drops off, with emphasis, the ends of all the words. The final syllable is drawn out. It sounds sarcastic to me.To me, the writing is amatuerish;Although this could have been a mystery with twists and depth, it just wasn't.The writing is wooden and , to me, amateurish.I have never before just refused to finish a book after 2 hours. The only feature I enjoyed was the medical references, which were accurate.
