Publisher's summary

One week.

Private beach.

Invisible girl.

Jerk-faced bully.

What’s the worst that could happen?

Kaitlyn Parker has no problem being the invisible girl, which is why she finds herself hiding in various cabinets and closets all over her college campus. Despite her best efforts, she can’t escape the notice of Martin Sandeke—bad boy, jerk-face bully, and the universe’s hottest, wealthiest, and most unobtainable bachelor—who also happens to be Kaitlyn’s chemistry lab partner.

Kaitlyn might be the only girl who isn’t interested in exploiting his stunning rower’s build, chiseled features, and his family’s billionaire fortune. Kaitlyn wants Martin for his brain, specifically to tabulate findings of trace elements in surface water.

When Kaitlyn saves Martin from a nefarious plot, Martin uses the opportunity to push Kaitlyn out of her comfort zone: spring break, one week, house parties, bathing suits, and suntan lotion. Can she overcome her aversion to being noticed? Will he be able grow beyond his self-centered nature? Or, despite their obvious chemistry, will Martin be the one to drive Kaitlyn into the science cabinet of obscurity for good?

This is the bundled version of the Elements of Chemistry trilogy and includes parts one through three (Attraction, Heat, and Capture).

Juvenil Love

The narration and story are well written to keep you in suspense. I feels it drags a little on the 3rd part. I still liked the build up LOL. Cute young love.

Another well written romance by Penny Reid

As always, Penny Reid delivers smart, complex characters in this romantic tale. So refreshing to read a romance with a plot line.

Very nice, but too long

Interesting characters and premise, but come on protagonists! Your reason and interference could be faster with each other!

Right in the feels!

Parker is a prude after my own heart. So ridiculously clueless about all things boys and adulting. Coming into your own and understanding the opposite sex when you're a shy and people pleaser is slow TORTURE! Martin had my stomach in delicious knots with his sexy, demanding, and flirtatious demeanor. I love how he pushed, pulled, and bended Parker to his will, only for Parker to return the favor unbeknownst to her. "I feel.."

Despite the tropes

My threadbare patience for the ’hitching of breath’ et al notwithstanding it was great. I just wanted the heroine to not be such a ridiculously silly prude about fucking cursing. It felt lame.

I loved this sooooo much

This is probably one of my favorite storylines. I would love a part 4 where they get married and life after. Just so cute.

Witty

This book made me laugh out loud and it is as insightful as it is humorous. Read it!

Liked it but....

...there were a lot if mispronounced words in the performance which took me out of the story. For example, hydrochloric acid is HCL not HCI. There is no way that Martin, a scientist, would mistake the chemical formula of that very common acid. Isn't there someone who listens to the performance and checks for errors?
