Full of facts, a basic guide that could be useful

If you could sum up Emotional Abuse: How Emotional Abuse Hurts and How to Heal After Being Emotionally Abused in three words, what would they be?

informative common sense

Any additional comments?

Some people have commented that this book just has content that is common sense, but I think sometimes you need a bit of common sense, especially when it comes to emotional issues. It can be hard to see your situation from a distance, you are too embroiled in it.

This book describes emotional abuse in all its guises, and I think this could be useful for someone who hasn't yet accepted that they are suffering from abuse, Hiding behind the thought that it is somehow their own fault, or that they simply have relationship issues. If it helps just one person to accept that they are being abused and do something about it, then it's been worth it for the author.

Other reviews I read have said that the narrator sounds like a robot. I felt it was clearly narrated, some books are too rushed and garbled. I'd rather have a slightly robotic voice I can understand than not be able to follow what the narrator is saying, however I appreciate that this type of narration may not be for everyone. I was gifted a copy of this book - all opinions are my own.

Knowing is half the battle

It's a cliche, but it's true. The biggest part of coping with emotional abuse is learning how to identify it.

This book really helps in very facet. Some just look at what to do when you're ready suffering from emotional abuse, but this book also focuses on how to recognize it at the start and avoid the spiral. That's a big deal and makes it really applicable, even if you're not suffering now.

Don't waste your money

Would you try another book from Pamela Help and/or JC Anonymous?

no

What could Pamela Help have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

write something of substance ... this was a waste of money ... simple common sense

Would you be willing to try another one of JC Anonymous’s performances?

no, he was terrible. It sounded jerky--- like a computer voice

Any additional comments?

I thought this was a total waste of money. The reader sounded it was computer-generated and I could get over that if the material was of any substance or use. It was just common sense.
