real life style

I like the style of providing tools to deal with certain situations. I believe in those tools that they provide because they work. easy-to-understand vocabulary, I really like it, I think most of the things you say are consistent with real life

personal book

This book is an excellent guide for application of the principles of emotional intelligence. Rather than discussing the elements in academic discussion, the author gives rationale, description of processes, and practical exercises. As all good teachers, this author tells us much of what we know but have not assembled in the organized applicable format. The explanation is conversational and concise. I have recommended this book for my grown professional children and friends. There are life lessons to be learned and techniques in this book which can help to deal with the increasing pressures of our busy and stressful lives.

awesome

This is the first book I have listeb by this Author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt as though there was so much more included in addition to emotional intelligence. Unlike other books, I felt as though the exercises were really easy to do as they came up and I found carrying out the exercises really useful. I'm looking forward to listening more of Ian's books in the near future!

Emotional Intelligence is a terrific resource for learning about and understanding what emotional intelligence is. It is well researched and compiled into an simple and easily understandable format. The tips and tools contained within the book are easy to apply to empower your self to grow and develop with your own social emotional development and if you work with students as I do it's useful to encourage their development to build relationships, resilience and experience success in their life as well as your own.

exactly what i wanted

Well explained easy exercises to do that will make you more aware of what you are feeling and why. I really enjoyed this and would highly recommend it to everyone. The explaining style is simple and the book is not overly long or complicated. Well worth listening.

nice audio book

Bought the book on audible while going through rehab for addiction . It was the best book Ive listened to(audible) in years! Lots of practical usable exercises , that actually work .I had very underdeveloped emotional skills and the book thought me some great skills. I've continued to listen to the book probably 18 times while I drive. Truly helped me trough a very ruff time , and even with daily life

Great listen and is on my list to read again. It has a lot of the same information that I have accumulated from other sources and in life, however it connected several of the dots and provided some valuable excersises. This is a good reference to have around when you find yourself less than excited about life and the people you share it with
