Publisher's summary

End of Days is the explosive conclusion to Susan Ee's bestselling Penryn & the End of Days trilogy. After a daring escape from the angels, Penryn and Raffe are on the run. They're both desperate to find a doctor who can reverse the twisted changes inflicted by the angels on Raffe and Penryn's sister. As they set off in search of answers, a startling revelation about Raffe's past unleashes dark forces that threaten them all.

When the angels release an apocalyptic nightmare onto humans, both sides are set on a path toward war. As unlikely alliances form and strategies shift, who will emerge victorious? Forced to pick sides in the fight for control of the earthly realm, Raffe and Penryn must choose: Their own kind, or each other?

Raffe and penryns struggles are epic!

Constant action, heroism, bravery and loyalty to family, and very untraditional love story make thus unique!

Meh...an ending to a series.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I was very much looking forward to this final book, but it was only okay. It wasn't mind-blowing as I had hoped.

Upper YA story

I couldn't stop listening to this series until it was done! It's exciting and full of action! There is some cussing in this third book which wasn't present in the first two.

I wish the author could write a spin off story with our characters and what must surely follow. I'm just not ready to say goodbye to dee and dum! They totally made the series, outside our two main characters.

Angels With Attitude!!!

This fantasy was very YA and something I would not normally enjoy so much BUT the world building was vivid and I was immediately sucked in and stayed up till 2 am last night reading... that was untill I passed out and got smacked in the face by my iPad! BUT I was not deterred and switched to the Audibook version which I also enjoyed - mostly because the narrator (Caitlin Davies) actually sounded like a 17 year old!

The witty banter and and the fast-paced plot kept me captivated throughout - but what was unique to me was actually reading a book about Angels instead of watching their story in a movie (City of Angels, Constantine and Legion) or TV (Angel and Castiel)!

On to book 2.

No spoilers

Great story—very well written, the characters really come to life! Only negative is it’s written a little young ( but not annoyingly so—lead character pokes fun at herself for being a teenager). Outstanding narrator—will definitely seek out her works!

Love this series!

If you could sum up End of Days in three words, what would they be?

I want more!

What other book might you compare End of Days to and why?

This is a tough one because I've found it unique from other angel books. However, this book has a strong female lead that isn't some horned up snot.

Have you listened to any of Caitlin Davies’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to the earlier books in the series and she's done a wonderful job with all three. The only voices that were off were that of Dee and Dum, but it wasn't overly distracting. With so many characters, it's hard to narrate perfectly for every one of them.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I got some butterflies.

Any additional comments?

It was OK

Any additional comments?

I think most teenage girls would like this book, but I am a bit old for the sappy love stuff. I did enjoy the first 2 books more and the end was OK.
