Publisher's summary

Ty Wilcox didn’t really believe in superheroes before he became one himself. Now, he has an incredible power he’s just beginning to understand, lives in a mansion, and is in a relationship with two of the most amazing women alive.

But when a flying, teleporting demon-woman appears outside his work, the price of his new life becomes apparent.

There’s a supervillain after the device that gives Ty his power. This villain will do anything to get it, and has an entire army at his command. The price of Ty’s new life is never-ending danger.

Warning and minor spoilers: Just like book 1, Enhancer 2 is an 18+ book intended for mature listeners. It contains sex, violence, and nudity. It includes very light gamelit elements, occasional bad language, and is set in a cyberpunk alternate future. Within it you will find threats, battles, destruction of property, evil plans, betrayals, wrongful imprisonment, major violence, death, and the unfortunate realities of living in a world dominated by mega-corporate greed. The malevolent boss from book 1 is still there, as is the monstrous bad guy. But so are the gorgeous superheroes who are comfortable with unconventional, harem relationships, and there might be someone new in that mix as well.

Very well done

The second book was a step up from the first and was a very enjoyable listen. Chris Graves performance was fantastic and very much added to the story by bringing the characters to life.

I Love This Narrator!

Wonderful series so far. I love how the narrator changes voices for each character. My favorite voice is Angies because it fits her witch-like characteristics. As for this story... it shows how change can alter one's personality and confidence all while battling enemies. This is one of my favorite RPG related books.

A step up

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This book for got an upgrade in everything from the characters actually having personalities to more interesting plot developments. I'll be trying out the next book in the series when it comes out. The voice work by Chris Graves is pretty good.

Just want to keep listening...

This book held up, with second installments you never know if you will leave just as satisfied as you were with the first, but it definitely left me happy that the third was already out. I just blew through number two and three and seriously can’t wait for number four.

Great followup to book 1

More superheroes, more powers, and a cliffhanger that made me instantly download book 3.

I was given the series for free, for review purposes, but would not have been disappointed had I purchased. The pacing is good, the story is appealing, and the world mechanics are new.

I'm off to start the next one.

I am still loving this series

as I said, still loving it. the story had the same fun feel the first one did while being better than the first. it was awedome seeing how the charecters powers grew and I can't wait to see what he does with them in book three.

this one saw a new woman join the grouo and it was a helm of a ride getting her there.

The fun continues.

Picking up where the first volume left off, we find our hero once again wrapped up in fighting evil …and dealing with his dead end job. When the story was focusing on the superhero aspect of the story, it was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately there were more than a few chapters that felt unnecessary, not the least of which were the extended chapters focused on the harem aspect of the story. Going in I knew this series had a harem aspect to it and didn't mind it at all, but rather than feeling like a superhero story that happened to include a harem story it felt like a harem story that happened to include superheroes. That being said I like the characters/super powers we see, and the book shines when it focused on those aspect of the story. I also felt the ending was anticlimactic. In a book dealing with superheroes you'd expect the ending to be a massive battle, as was the case with the first book in the series, but I Enhancer 2 the big battle happens about halfway or so and the ending was just … well the ending. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun book and you can tell the author is definitely laying the ground work for something bigger in the future, but the book ends with more of a fizzle rather than a bang.

Chris Graves is back as the narrator and once again he does an excellent job.

The story has been enhanced 2nd time around

You may recall me reviewing Enhancer some time ago, it was a decent book and received a score of 7.3. I think the writing has improved, the story is tighter and streamlined and I liked the introduction of what looks to be a fourth member of the burgeoning Harem who may join the gang in the future.

Kane clearly builds upon book one in every way that counts. I think that he could flesh out his characters a bit more and expound on the romance/attraction with the first two girls. I’m not saying that they are one dimensional, but the Angie the Hut character is more of a caricature than anything else, but she is just an example. I think all of them could be built upon some more, but I will say they are more realistic this time around, and I am more forgiving of details. Just because female deer don’t have antlers doesn’t mean that they can’t be modified on to someone if they want them.

That leads me into some of the more interesting parts of the book. The world itself. Kane does a great job detailing various things from cosmetic to the cybernetic. The world is a secondary character and is as alive as any of the other characters. There is a lot going on here and we get a pretty good taste. I always say that every superpower has been thought of its how you employ them in a story that makes them cool. Kane does manage to make his heroes and villains fun, and I could see them in action.

He book picks up pretty much where the first left off. Ty, oddly is still working a crappy job and struggling to reconcile his hero life with his life as a normie. Then a teleporting demoness of a character, Lilith shows up and throws his life into utter chaos. Can he trust her? Should he? How will he tell the other girls?

Chris Graves elevates this story. His narration is on fleek, whatever that means. He plays Angie to perfection and gets inside of Ty’s head quite nicely. I always appreciate his work and know that if he’s narrating then the story will be better for it.

So, here’s the part that you ask me about the naughty business. After all, isn’t this the naughty show? So, I have to say it has a nice representation of sexy hotness without going into penthouse of hustler territory.

Final score 7.9 stars. Lots of changes for the better, and if they were changes they were additions that book one missed.

better the devil you know

Having gained superpowers and two incredibly attractive roommates Ty still inexplicably goes to work cleaning toilets. It's true. But when his enemies track him down there and a teleporter threatens to steal more than his heart, Ty must man up and protect what's his. Great continuation of the story and I hope there is a part three.

A great superhero story harem that focuses onstory

I love super hero books. This book focuses on the characters and the villains. I listened to this book all the way through without stopping. Most super hero harem stories focus on the sex part way too much and forget completely to write a good story. Wyatt did not do that. He wrote a good story from the ground up that has a little bit of harem mixed in and I applaud him for that. I reccomend this book if you like a good super hero story with no boring parts. I hope to see more of this series sooner rather than later.
