About this listen

From award winning author Brett Battles comes the second Logan Harper thriller.

It was supposed to be a fun weekend, a celebration of a marriage and growing family. Alan Lindley couldn't have been happier... until his wife, Sara, disappeared. Asked by a mutual friend to help look for her, Logan Harper is sure he'd discover a wife who simply wants out of the marriage. What he finds instead is a woman who didn't exist, a diabolical plan, and people who would do anything to keep it a secret, including taking the life of the person most important to him. What would you do for those precious to you?

"Brett Battles has established himself as one of today's best thriller writers, right up there with Lee Child, Barry Eisler, and Thomas Perry." (Deadly Pleasures)
"The best word I can use to describe his writing is addictive." -(James Rollins, New York Times best-selling author)

This audiobook certainly started out well and I liked it. Midway through, it took a nosedive and dragged. I lost interest and kept going back chapter by chapter. I found myself at the corner of Confusion and Bewilderment and I struggled to finish. Surprisingly this time, narration by Jeff Woodman was most cringe-worthy, unlike his precise and talented presentation in Chris Grabenstein’s “John Ceepak Series.” I've enjoyed Brett Battles' books in the past; this one, however, is not for me. As my editor, mentor, and friend told me in the '70s, "If we all liked the same things, the world would indeed be a very boring one." RIP Dan Di Leo

Disappointing

This is the second novel in the Logan Harper series. The first (Little Girl Gone) was quite good but not as good as any on Battles' Jonathan Quinn series or the Project Eden series. Every Precious Thing delivers the suspense that readers have come to expect of Brett Battles.

Jeff Woodman narrated both novels and does a good job. However, his voice does not seem exactly right for the books.

Excellent book!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I'm not an aurthor cannot say just know things need to be changed

If you’ve listened to books by Brett Battles before, how does this one compare?

Loved the Quinn series which is why I downloaded both these books. Harper needs a better non juvenile senior citizen supporting cast. Being a senio,r the questions and comments they make are annoying . BRING BACK QUINN

What aspect of Jeff Woodman’s performance would you have changed?

Excellent Perfermance for the script he had to work wiith

Do you think Every Precious Thing needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No this us a follow up book series should stop here

Any additional comments?

Supporting Characters to much "Keystone Cops" like

not J. Quinn Quality
