About this listen

The New York Times bestselling author of The Next Mrs. Parrish delivers another spellbinding story of betrayal and deceit in this audiobook original, Everybody Is a Liar.

When Julie Buckley, a successful mystery writer, suspects her husband of cheating, she turns to her best friend, Darby, for advice. When Darby suggests couples therapy, Julie and Oliver find themselves discussing Oliver’s betrayal with their new therapist, Liza. Liza is competent and reassuring, and her advice and Oliver’s openness to change seem to be helping the couple rebuild their relationship.

But when murder strikes in this small Connecticut town, Liza begins to worry there is a connection between Oliver and another one of her patients and the confidences they have shared with her become the key to solving the murder. As Liza digs deeper, she comes to believe that everybody is a liar.

It's a short story, first of all. So don't go into this thinking of any investment. The second thing that's annoying is that this short story was free a couple months ago. I listened to it, enjoyed it, forgot about it. It showed up again on my recommendations. I see all the great reviews and decide to buy it since it's cheaper than a credit. I've heard this before...hmmm... yes definitely. Then I realize. I can't return because I didn't use a credit. Sneaky audible, real sneaky... So I am now leaving reviews for all books no matter what to ensure I know what I have or haven't read. There really should be a spot that says, "titles you have read whether free or not" or "titles you've tried that totally sucked so don't try these again". but what so I know? I'm just a lowly sucker for reading.

The only thing annoying is that I was duped into buying this.

I loved this book. Very good read. Great storyline and ending was a shocker. Highly recommended.

I enjoy nearly everything the Constantine sisters write. The novella EVERYBODY IS A LIAR kept me interested from start to finish, though it’s not particularly memorable.

Liv Constantine created a compelling, satisfying story. The sisters other novellas made me wish for an entire novel with the characters and plot. I was glad to be done with each and every person in the story, including the ones who weren’t awful.

EVERYBODY IS A LIAR is a worthy listen.

A good story

The queens of domestic thrillers have done it again! It’s a twisty, small-town suspense where nothing is as it seems, and no one is who they appear to be—plus, the final reveal is perfect.

Another winner!

I loved how fast it moved! I didn’t love the cheesy music at the end of each chapter.

I really enjoyed this story, the characters, and the twists. I liked that all the characters were connected at some point. Worth the listen!

Another Exciting Listen!

Some things were predictable but in the end there was a fun twist! The music and background noise was rather annoying!

Entertaining quick read!

Once again, Liv Constantine hits it out of the park with this short story. Almost didn’t buy it due to the short length but glad I did. They fit a lot of story in a small package. Enjoyed the narrators too!

Very clever story! Loved the narrators too!

I don’t think i would waste the credit to listen to this immediately. Try and get it from the library. The story is just corny- reads more like a soap opera than a novella.

Meh.

Captivating , thrilling, and unexpected. A gripping story with a satisfyingly complex mystery that kept me guessing until the very last page.

Love the ending.
