About this listen

Nihayat al’ayam (the end of days) has begun.

Wedded contract killers Quinn and Natalia Barrett fear their intended final operation may have served as the trigger, and now find themselves on the run from a past neither can escape.

Adam Young’s worst fears have seemingly become genuine. His country has fallen under attack. His son has once again gone off the radar, and while preparing his family for the worst Adam believes is approaching, he struggles to untangle the various kinks existent in his multidimensional household.

In this fast-paced roller-coaster follow-up to C.A. Rudolph’s thrilling Until Nothing Remains, these two families’ universes are predestined to collide. Will they find common ground? Or will the confrontation result in disaster?

Not what I expected. Great diversion.

Great. I had to finish it. Character development was sufficient to want a follow up story.

A must read (or listen as I did)

This was definitely a superb follow up to the previous book. I really enjoyed it. I've read all of C.A. Rudolph's books to date and enjoy them more and more as each story progresses. Phenomenal job!

Wow! A really good book!

While Rudolph has written a really good book, Pierce’s narration is fantastic!! The narration really made the book come alive and made a great story even better. I’ll be listening to it again.

Espionage, Terrorists and more all in one!

I remember finishing the first book and hoping there would be more. Well, there is a lot more! There are a few characters I really wanted to crawl in the book and strangle, ugh. The language gets a bit rough in spots but it's not too often. Natalia and Quinn are the heroes and yet not. There are worse protagonists though chasing our heroes through the book. It's a thrill a minute and a bit of humor thrown in. I felt sorry for the innocents thrown around in this tale and hope they fare better in the next episode I'm anxiously awaiting.

Hurry and get this book in whatever media suits you best. You won't be sorry! I've enjoyed Mr. Rudolph's other novels immensely. He can spin a tale with the best of them and has a great narrator, Kevin Pierce, to speak his words.

Happy reading/listening!

Another homerun.

I started listening to this last night, and had it not been for some appointments I had in the morning, I probably would have ended up listening to it straight through. I've been a huge fan of C.A. Rudolph's since the release of the very first book in his What's Left of My World series. And I was thrilled when last fall he came out with a new series. This book, Everything I Die For is the 2nd book in that new series, and it is truly unique series. He labels it as a post-apocalyptic/espionage adventure, and that's almost exactly what it is. Almost? Yes, Almost, because post-apocalyptic doesn't give a truly accurate description of the series...at least not yet. You see the apocalypse hasn't actually happened yet, but during these first two books you will witness the world sliding toward it, which I find to be an incredibly fresh take. Most Post-Apocalyptic novels show you a little of the world before it ends and then a massive struggle to survive afterward. Don't get me wrong, I love those books too, but Rudolph's slow burn of the world just starting to crumble is so dang cool. Without giving any spoilers, this book picks up very soon after the end of the previous book, and once again we end up mainly following two main sets of characters: a badass husband/wife team (former spies/assassins), and a prepper family (whose son seems to have a way of falling into more trouble than he can handle.) The book features a great storyline and over the top action. And while the story is incredibly focused on these characters, I love the subtle way Rudolph reminds us of how society is beginning to crumble without that really being the main focus of the story, more like he's hinting about how bad things are likely to get in future volumes. I absolutely can't wait to see what happens next.

Now as I said, I've been reading C.A. Rudolph's books from the very beginning, and as great as they are, you know what's even better than reading them? Listening to Kevin Pierce's narration. Rudolph's words paired with Pierce's voice is a killer combination.

Great story

I was a bit put off by the story lines until they all merged. It was very good.
