Publisher's summary

USA Today best-selling author Alexa Riley's first full-length novel shows just what happens when a strong, possessive man finds the woman of his dreams.

I'll never forget the way she looked, so confident and sure of herself. I watched her from a distance. She wasn't ready for me yet. I didn't approach her, and I didn't disturb her, but I never once took my eyes off her.

Mallory Sullivan is ready to start her new life. After graduating at the top of her class, she's landed one of the most coveted internships in the United States. Hard work and determination have gotten her to this moment of living the life she only dreamed of while growing up in foster care.

From the start I knew that she would be my greatest achievement, so the day I let her go, I set down a path for her. A path to me.

She never expected Oz to be the greatest culmination of those dreams. But sometimes fate determines who you fall in love with. Who makes you lose control. Who owns your soul.

And then you realize it wasn't fate at all.

I've wanted to care for and protect her since the first moment I saw her. I've constructed everything in our lives so that at the perfect moment, I could have her, could give her the life she deserves.

The time has come.

I really liked this book

I fell in love with Oz. Yes he has his flaws, but what he did to get Mallory....beyond romantic to me,

Great book for hopeless romantics!

Absolutely loved this book! Fed the hopless romantic in me! I wasn't all that fond of the male narrator, he was a bit too dead toned to me. I mean, he has a sexy voice, but it just didn't seem like there was much emotion to it, and when he was speaking for the female lead, it was cringe worthy in my opinion. Luckily, most of the book was with the female narrator

Stockolm Syndrom ;)

First of all, lets cover the narrators: GREAT! Both of them. Loved their performances.
Now, the story...
Move over, Christian Grey! You thought you were a crazy stalker control freak? Well, babe, let me burst your bubble and tell you that you have MAJOR competition, and his name is Miles Osbourne.
It makes me wonder what would we think about this characters if they had these disturbing personalities without the millions...
Os is obsessed with Mallory beyond words, for years! He has set a path for her to follow and end up with him... And he hasnt even talked to her once.
So why do we love him? (Yes, I said we) Apparently Mallory and me have the biggest Stockolm syndrom ever.
This relationship was not healthy, but he could be so unbelievably sweet and protective and with 'please dont kill my puppy' attitudes, that she fell, and I did it with her.
But most of all, after the previous books that have come across my hands the past few weeks, this one was simple and fun and enjoyable.
So yes, Im crazy, I liked it... A LOT!

I loved this story. The story line was attention keeping and the narrators chosen were perfect for Miles and Mallory. This story is spicy so if your listening at work or around children you will need headphones 🔥🔥🔥.

Great beginning, too drawn out. 3.5 Stars

I absolutely loved the beginning of this book. Oz was so hot, and their back and forth game was very sensual. However, I found it ridiculous that a Yale graduate didn’t know who the owner of the company was. The one who gave her a scholarship and an internship, and the company was Osbourne. Not plausible and made Mallory look dumb. Also, nothing happened the second half of the book. Just filler.

Sweet for a Stalker-Taste

Any additional comments?

Oz is most definitely a stalker, but he's sweet and gentle.

Somehow Alexa Riley took a dominating man, who for no obvious reason becomes obsessed with a younger girl/woman to the point that he distantly stalks and manipulates her life, and makes him kinda perfect. He's protective without being overbearing. He wants nothing more than to make Mallory happy, and because most of the book is from Mallory's point of view, you get that instant connection and her development of feelings for him, all the while knowing that he is head over heels in love with her (which is never explained why, but I really don't care).

Mallory is not a push-over, nor does she bull-doze over Oz, and I absolutely love the epilogues!

It's soft and sweet with just a dash of jealousy and bite. No cheating and it has an HEA.

I loved this book. There is a second, and it was nice, but I fell in love with this one.

**Spoilers**

Not a huge fan of the lady of the story being underage when he starts stalking her. It has a huge purity culture twist, which I did not enjoy, considering how purity culture is to normalize grown men being pedos to girls. I wanted to enjoy the generous rich guy obsessing over his love interest, but it was super cringe. The fact that the rich guy chooses a child to be his bride is gross and he would not even like her if she was not pure amd untouched by anyone other than him. It was tough reading the whole thing. He says he wants to keep her pregnant, even in her discomfort, so I don't have much respect for the guy love interest.
