About this listen

Music producer Mason Liner has one passion: the acts she can bring to the top of the charts. When the biggest record label in Nashville hands her a new client, country music royalty, Sophie Roddy, Mason’s reluctant to take on a problem diva whose excessive lifestyle almost ruined her career, but can't turn down the challenge.

Victoria Roddy has lived in Sophie Roddy’s shadow for as long as she can remember. Being her mother's assistant is more than a job description...it’s her life. Now arrogant and aggravating Mason thinks she can turn Sophie’s career around, but Victoria doesn’t believe Mason’s ridiculous demands and exhaustive schedule are what her mother needs right now.

Mason and Victoria have to work together, so it’s really too bad they can’t stand each other, and even worse that they can’t seem to deny their attraction.

If you're in the mood for a romance

I enjoyed this one. I liked the characters which is the most important part for me. Mostly a nice easy romance. That's just what I was looking for at this moment.

Another good one

I love Ali Vali, she has never let me down. And Paige McKinney is a great narrator! It’s a nice afternoon book and worth listening too! And a great enjoyment

Good Book!

A little different premise simply because most of Vali’s books are set in New Orleans. With that aside, it was a good story. Very sweet with strong characters. The narrator was also very good.

Great book and performance

Another great work from Ali Vali and performance from Paige McKinney. If you are unfamiliar with either of these exceptional women you should make this the first of many that you allow yourself to experience.

A real life love story that unfortunately we can all find some commonality with. you'll love the characters and how they navigate their personal and external relationships to find each other and peace with what can't be undone in their pasts.

Never disappoints me

Once again Ali Vali has spun a good story that I totally enjoyed. And Paige McKinney voiced the characters so well. There was more then once that I wanted to punch one of them in the throat. Can't wait for what ever book you have on audiobook to come out. I really hope it's a new Cain Casey or maybe The Dragon Tree Legacy. I know any new audiobook will be awesome.

Great!

I loved Face the Music. The MC's are not very loveable at the beginning of the book. But the theme and tone of the book becomes clearer.

Would return if I could

Interesting premise ruined by simplistic dialogue, out of date butch/femme tropes, and a narrator that made it sound like some sort of technical manual

Not Vali's Best

Vali's formula of the hero sweeping in to fix everything for the damsel in distress works okay when dealing with mobster or cops but not so much with the music industry.
