When youthful transgressions of numerous people come to light, including ones some members of the Chapman family are desperate to contain, it reveals the sins of the past. They collide with the grave mistakes of the present, creating a perfect storm of chaos and death for not only the Chapman family, but others as well.

Some will survive. Others will get burned. Sam and her loved ones realize some family secrets should have remained buried.

The narration needs better editing, there are many parts where the volume increases significantly for a few seconds and then decreases again. Sometimes it's hard to tell who is speaking and occasionally the wrong characters voice is used.
The pace and tone of the narration are a good match for the story, it builds tension where it's needed and conveys the emotions of the characters.

I loved the descriptions, they allowed me to make vivid pictures in my mind as I immersed myself in this story. The plot is complex and twisting, if there was a chance for things to go sideways they generally did, I loved how unpredictable actions were and how the past kept coming back to haunt people.

Beautifully written I listened to this quite long book all in one sitting. It held my attention and left me wanting to read more of this author's books.

Great character development meant it was easy to connect with the lead characters. Their personalities their strengths and their flaws all came through in the dialogue and their actions.

LOVED this book!I didn't want it to end! Some bad choices puts Sams life,as well as her familys in danger.Will she ever be free? Andrea Emmes was a gret narrator. I was given this book by the narrator,author or publisher free for an honest review.

I started and stopped this book several times. There were too many occasions throughout this listen where the sound quality was subpar and it just took me completely out of the story. I stayed with it but the irksome audio kept happening, even in the final chapters. Ugh.

This story centered on twin sisters, their relations, and oh so many secrets. There was A LOT going on!! I sincerely enjoyed the story. At the end, I found myself counting all the people who were no longer alive. It was quite a significant number!!

I liked the narrator's voice and will look for other books. There was is just no excuse for the bad audio.

I was so impressed with everything about this book. The story was great, the narrator was excellent plus lots of twists and turns. This is the first book that I have listened to or read by Ashley Fontainne but it won’t be the last!

This is for adults due to the profanity and violence. I did find the book creepy which shows the author knows how to use words that sends chills down your spine.
The book does have a soap opera feel to it with a more darker twist.

The story is well constructed with a great variety of characters that will hold their interest.

The Narrator gives a good performance that enhances the enjoyment of the Book.

why would I enjoyed this book so much the main character was fascinating interesting the story was dark mysterious so much happened in 12 hours it was such a good book I enjoyed it so so much the narrator did an Exquisite job with this book very good thriller

a Funtastic mystery

Fatal Agreements was nothing like I expected. If you are expecting an easy ghost story type book, you will be disappointed. However, if you want a complex, gritty Southern Gothic novel, this book is for you. I couldn't believe all the disparate threads of the story that kept winding around and around to a stunning conclusion. I kept listening to the story in sometimes horrified fascination as the author peeled layer after layer of deceit and intrigue. Ashley Fontainne has a wicked imagination and can write about some seriously malicious people. Despite the overall darkness of the story, I maintained hope throughout for a satisfying resolution, and Ms. Fontainne delivered.

In addition to being highly entertaining, the book is extremely well written, and the narration is flawless. Andrea Emmes does a terrific job of adding emotion to the author's foreshadowing, and she speaks with the perfect Southern accent. The audio version had excellent sound quality, and I think the narrator made a devilish story even better.

I received a copy of Fatal Agreements in exchange for an honest review from the author and Audio Boom. However, I'm headed to use a credit to purchase another Ashley Fontainne book.

Oh, the twists and turns.....WOW!

Samantha Chapman has quit her law firm and moves back to the town where she grew up and purchases a historical house, the Halstead House, which she has always wanted. Sam renovates and turns this into her home and office for her newly formed Law practice. Secrets, abusive relationships and skeletons all come to light in this very well developed plot. The characters are so well written, that you immediately love or hate each one. There are so many twists and turns in this novel which kept me engrossed from beginning to end. I thought the narrator did a fabulous job with all the characters voices. I would love to listen to other books by this author and narrator. Ashley Fontainne really knows how to write a good story and weave in the suspense in a way that builds over time and keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book was no exception. I was hooked right away by the story. The characters were engaging and I found I cared what happened to them. I really enjoyed the story and thought the narration was well done too. If you are a fan of Ashley Fontainne, or just a fan of the genre, you should pick this one up.
