About this listen

When nothing is easy.

Deception, trickery, and ambush threaten to derail Eric Branson's plans shortly after his arrival in South Louisiana.

Eric soon learns that the sheriff's department Keith works for has been decimated by riots and terror attacks.

The infrastructure here has also been severely crippled by the same hurricane that devastated South Florida, leaving the survivors hungry and desperate in a world where law and order is impossible to enforce.

For Eric, reaching Louisiana is just another step in a difficult quest that will take him overland to the Colorado Rockies in search of his daughter. And getting there will take everything he's learned in a decade and a half of fighting wars all over the world.

Will the new plan he puts together with his brother's help work?

Feral Nation: Tribulation is the third book in the latest post-apocalyptic thriller series from Scott B. Williams.

Good

Main Character Eric is interesting and believable although a little too trusting at times. All people in this book are interesting and/or likable and makes the story worth following. Just the right mix of action and just surviving time. Will get the next.

An excellent story of surviving difficult times.

So far this has an excellent series about people that have the will to survive difficult times and work together to overcome any situation that they encounter. I know there are those that will say this is a story about a ex-Navy SEAL and not about normal people and I will disagree with them. Yes, there is a SEAL in the book but this has many different character and all of the others are very normal people, some are better at adapting to the situation while others are in complete denial of their situation and a hazard to all those around them.
Now about the Narrator, Mr. Vendetti, he has not been my favorite performer for this series but it has very little to do with his ability. Mr Vendetti had a huge challenge to overcome because he did not narrate the first book in the series. For those not as familiar with Audible let me explain. Audible calls these people Narrators but they are really performers, I remember the days of books on tape where the found a person with a pleasant voice that could enunciate well who would read the book. These "readers" would make no effort to change their voice or tone to portray each character in the book, the Audible performers do. When Mr Mroton narrated the first book he created voices for each of the characters and as I listened I began to recognize each persons voice, When Mr Vendetti took over on book two I no longer recognized the people so for me this is two series, there is book one and then there is the rest of the series. I hope they will continue to use Mr Vendetti for the remainder of the series.
I have gifted audible to many people over the years and been surprised that some have not continued as an Audible fan. They have commented that these books are expensive at thirteen or fourteen dollars each but, then they have asked me to join them at a movie for that same price, and this movie is less than half as long as the book I gave them. This author writes a great story, the performer brings the voices to life, and my mind creates a far better image than could ever be captured on video so, I hope you will download a copy of this series and enjoy it as much as I have.

Great series bad narrator

I’m not a fan of using credits on books as short as the ones in this series, but the story moves fast and have a lot of exciting action that I have no regrets spending one credit per book. I highly recommend this series (I’m on book 6 now) but can’t stand the narrator. It sounds like he’s chewing on the mic at times as you can hear every click of his tongue and lips (ugh!) and he mispronounces words left and right as well as just garbling some along the way. Just be warned if noises like that gross you out because at times I could barely stand it

Good story but…

Good story line and you do not get bored. But this narrator, whew. I don’t know if this is his real monotone voice or not but it grates along. Not sure if he’s trying to be a cross between George Guidall and Kevin Pierce but he fails on both accounts. Fails hard. Other than him, great story.
