About this listen

A hard-hitting story with a heart...

Reborn into a world of brutal fights, Johnny vowed to work hard and push himself to the limit. After a rough start, he befriended the lovely, undefeated catgirl Fearless Freddie. They worked hard, supporting each other every step of the way, and eventually developed deep feelings for each other. Now engaged, Johnny and Freddie face the future with total commitment. Every obstacle they overcome strengthens their chances of achieving their dreams.

As summer fades into autumn, Freddie’s sister begins training alongside them. Lennie hates running and grumbles about their predawn optimism, but the talented kickboxer also unlocks a secret weapon for Johnny and Freddie. Then, with the city championships approaching, a new and powerful threat emerges. Meanwhile, big questions loom over the young lovers.

Can Johnny battle his way from prospect to contender? What’s up with Johnny’s quirky next-door-neighbor, the shy mouse-maid Millie? Can Freddie heal her father? Why has the mysterious Exhibitionist taken an interest in Johnny? And, what the heck is twinning?

Warning: This slice-of-life gamelit story contains adult themes, slow burn romance, and violence.

The characters come to life, with great writing and great voice acting. This is one of the best series by Hondo.

Great story and performances

Much much better than the last book was a nice little story, if not a little predictable.

How to improve your boxer

Had to power through this one only because the story was good. Narrators where good and was able to understand them but the whispering and screaming nearly had me nearly returning this one. Had to drive with my hand on the volume for most of this book.

Good story ruined by bad audio level

Okay first off I got to say I love the shutouts to other writers (gaming emporium) with Yuki running it and calling her a shrewd negotiator…. I bet Daniel got a kick out of that.

Alright here we go with the actual review, I love it. I absolutely love it and the pace it’s going… it’s not fast and you get a sense of all the characters, Johnny still kicking butt and taking lumps his relationship with Freddie is stronger now than the previous book which is amazing, Lennie coming into the fold and how they handle it is just great, a lot of thought goes into the decision and Millie…. What can I say … she’s a sweetheart.

Overall it’s the best series yet, it’s subtle and sweet with a alpha male who isn’t a tool and who loves his women ferociously. The ending was the best and you got to love his Riders for what they did.

Hondo best yet series with the best very best VAs in the business, Chris and Jessica you can’t do any wrong (channeling Lou there).

Hope everyone enjoys the slower pace like I do and the set ups for the future entries, and if we meet like Hondo says let’s part as friends after a few beers.

Best yet

Hondo Jinx has rapidly moved up the list of authors that I don't even need to read a synopsis. I see the title and I click the buy button, no questions asked. And the Fight Town series is one of his best yet. He has the ability to take you on entertaining and educational trips into often misunderstood worlds like few others.

Just as Power Mage revealed the world of the Professional Bull Rider, Fight Town explores the painful and gritty world of Boxing. Let's be honest, this is a HaremLit fantasy but Mr Jinx, as with all his other series, creates venues to live out these fantasies that are revealing and interesting in much less fantastical but often more engaging stories.

It's all about heart. Ya Feel Me?

Some of the best voice acting i have listened to in a long time.

Jabbo, to me, reminds me of Pete from Goof Troop and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Great ending!

Very emotional ending. I read there might not be a third book. I really got invested in the characters after this one. I really hope Hondo decides to continue the series. I will definitely be back for more fight town if he does.

I'm not crying...
