About this listen

Now a number one Netflix documentary series. Get the full shocking story about billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in this number one New York Times best-selling and definitive book.

Jeffrey Epstein rose from humble origins into the New York City and Palm Beach elite. A college dropout with an instinct for numbers - and for people - Epstein amassed his wealth through a combination of access and skill. But even after he had it all, Epstein wanted more. That unceasing desire - and especially a taste for underage girls - resulted in sexual-abuse charges, to which he pleaded guilty and received a shockingly lenient sentence. Included here are police interviews with girls who have alleged sexual abuse by Epstein, details of the investigation against him, and a new introduction with up-to-the-minute developments on the case, including Epstein's death by suicide.

An explosive true story from the world's most popular thriller writer, Filthy Rich is a riveting tale of wealth, power, and the easy price of justice for America's wealthiest citizens.

YOU NEED TO KNOW

I was hesitant about getting this book but I am glad I did because it exposed Epstein and other wealthy people around him. Epstein was a disgusting, deplorable pedophile. I was just amazed how long this went on and even after he went to jail the first time...he got out and continued this lifestyle. And the jail time he got did not fit the crime. His butler got the same time in jail as he did...and he didn't do anything of the kind. He had knowledge of it...and he had to clean the sex toys after the parties...What a gross disgusting job! Anyway..the title fits this book. Filthy Rich!!!

Shame on Buckingham Palace. Andy...no, I won't call him a Prince. He is Pedophile Andy. And Elizabeth...not a Queen. Just a mom protecting her pedophile son. A disgrace! I wish them all the shame and embarassment that this caused them! But Andy didn't pay for his crimes and he should be prosecuted.

My heart goes out to all these young girls...they did not receive justice by seeing Epstein go to jail for the amount of time. I really question if he is truly dead or did he just buy the justice system again to fake his death and he is sitting on a beach somewhere still engaging in this???? Just a passing thought that went thru my head after listening to this book.

In the end, we should know about these people. I do not idolize these filthy rich, Hollywood types or the NFL and other sports players. They are just people...no better than anyone else. They just make alot of money but they are not smarter, they are not royal...they are less moral and live above the law.

Short of the whole truth

Good work on his history, but short of the whole truth. The whole truth is something that too many powerful people don’t want told.

Proof That Those With Enough Money Can Do Anything

The book reads like a police report. It's shocking to learn that all involved (except for Epstein's apparent suicide) are corrupt and remain leaders in our current judicial system. Specifically, I found it shocking that Alan Dershowitz' involvement, not only as Epstein's attorney, but also as one of the sexual perpetrators of Epstein's under-aged girls. Especially, since he spoke on behalf of Pres. Trump's impeachment. It's simply appalling that these powerful individuals have escaped unscathed.

Well done account of a Dangerous Damaged Man!

The authors tell a very sad story of a pathetic figure, who probably had tremendous gifts, but was derailed by his pathology to destroy the lives of countless innocent victims and the corrupt “justice” system that protected him.

As we now know, karma eventually caught up with him, though the full story of his crimes and his enablers will probably never be known.

Good, not great.

Very disturbing topic matter. The book was well research although it was somewhat repetitive. Jeffrey Epstein was very ill (mentally) and left a trail of destruction that will last for generations.

Wow to the fact of all which he had done.

I struggled to finish the book. At times it was very so moving in nature.

Filthy Rich... an apt title.

Missed this book when it first came out, even tho I read most of Patterson's books. well written, he had a good trip on who this man was and did good investigation. now in hindsight it seemed to end rather abruptly. What it brought to mind is the deplorable, stinking, lives the rich and famous live. This horrible man was enabled simply because he was rich and supplied underage women to depraved men, whom he then held hostage with the threat if harm. If there is one thing to be thankful for is that he is dead and didn't drag these women through more horror.

And He Gets Off (no pun intended)

This was a great book by Patterson! I am always amazed at our justice system and how some folks can simply buy their way out of their wrong doings, just as in this case. I so wished that this story was not true, as it was disturbing on so many levels. I do not know if I was more troubled by Jeffrey's actions, or the actions of Sara, and the other (young) ladies bringing minor girls to give Jeffrey a "massage". Why didn't the cleaning staff turn him in, knowing the what they knew and the dirty vibrators, sheets, and towels that they cleaned up after him??? EVERYONE of this is just as guilty as Jeffrey is.
