About this listen

SCRIBE-award-winning author, Erin M. Evans, continues the riveting tale of her Sundering character, Farideh, as she becomes embroiled in a Forgotten Realms-flavored game of thrones. In a direct follow-up to the third book in the Sundering series, The Adversary, young warlock Farideh falls into the midst of a battle for the throne of Cormyr. As the war brought on by the Sundering rages across Faern, princes and princesses, wizards and rogues scheme to capture the seat of power of the Land of the Purple Dragon - with Farideh and her allies caught squarely in the middle.

I loved this and loved every inch of it. The storyline, the relationship buildup of Ferita and Dull and the narrator's performance. 👏👏

This has been the best

noble vs honest is definitely the message I received throughout this struggle of crown and country.

great writing and interesting characters.

For some reason it took me a little effort to get fully invested in this story. Perhaps it was the duration between "Fire in the Blod" and "the Adversary", perhaps the abrupt change in sceanery. Regardless, by the time I had finished the first few chapters, I was fully in!

This is only the second book I've read from Erin Evans; however, I am dieing to read the next book. I'm actually planning to go back and read the first two novels and maybe even the second two in anticipation of the fifth.

An Excellent Series!

A fantastic new addition to the Brimstone Angel family. These have become my favorite fantasy series.

She's done it again

This series continues to get better with every book. The characters are great and I love the story. The performance is quite good most of the time, but there are a few stumbles here and there.

Better and better.

my one criticism of the narration, a short pause between scenes would be nice before jumping to a seperate part of the story, my brain has to stop the theater in my head and figure out what just happened when the narrator too seamlessly keeps reading through where there is no segue to differentiate between scenes that are miles apart from each other, different characters and a separate story arc going on,

a brief pause between scenes

It had the wrong cover on the audible edition and the epilogue was out of order but the book was good

Good book bad release

The amount of research into and development of Cormyr as a setting is truly impressive, however the plot setups, while we'll implemented, hardly novel. Still Faridah and Havilar are an eternal delight, and Dahl turns out to be less Dull than we perhaps thought, and the new Queen of Cormyr is great, and in general it's good times in the Forgotten Realms. Just not quite 5 Star good.

Mildly Cliche but Perfectly Charming

Would you consider the audio edition of Fire in the Blood to be better than the print version?
