About this listen

With the wounds from a bad breakup still healing, Penny Parker is reluctant to dive back into the dating scene. She's especially wary of being set up with an older man, but Ian Pratchett wants the same future she's after: family, stability, and true love. Though all the signs point to Ian being the One, can the timing ever be right between two people born decades apart?

Contains mature themes.

Loved hearing Jenny’s perspective

Despite the fact that the story is the same as Ian’s, the change in perspective made the story just as interesting as the first. Although you know what is going to happen, listening to Jenny made it just as funny and new.

Just A Repeat of Ian's Story

I love Abigail Barnette but I was a little disappointed this didn't pick up from Ian's Story like I thought it would. All it is, is a repeat story in Penny's pov. So needless to say this is actually the very first book I literally skipped thru to just see if it would change throughout and move forward, nope it didn't. So I say unless you want to hear a repeat of the same story for another 8 hours don't waste a credit.

LOVE IT!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was such a realistic, endearing, imperfect love story - it was funny, witty and charming. I never wanted it to end.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ian was great. Was he a rock and roll, ripped muscle man god? NO, but he was sweet, charming, considerate and caring man...who would not want that?

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When he stood up her for at dinner with her parents! That was awesome!

Any additional comments?

There is a follow up to this series, but Audible does not have it available...WHY???????????????????????????????

The chemistry between the characters inconsistent

well I thought this story had a lot of potential, I do think the chemistry between the hero and the heroine wasn't quite consistent. I'm interested to see where the second book takes things, because while the storyline isn't hopeless, I still am convinced there's a lot of barriers between the hero and the heroine.
