Sometimes you can't change - and sometimes you just don't want to. Discover Ben's side of the story in this fourth novel by the beloved, top-selling indie author of Ten Tiny Breaths, One Tiny Lie and Four Seconds to Lose.

Purple-haired, sharp-tongued Reese MacKay knows all about making the wrong choice; she's made plenty of them in her 20-odd-years. So when her impulsive, short-lived marriage ends in heartbreak, she decides it's time for a change. She moves to Miami with the intention of hitting reset on her irresponsible life, and she does quite well…aside from an epically humiliating one-night stand in Cancun with a hot blond bouncer named Ben. Thank God she can get on a plane and leave that mistake behind her.

Football scholarship and frat parties with hot chicks? Part of charmer Ben Morris's plan. Blown knee that kills any hope of a professional football career? So not part of the plan. Luckily Ben has brains to go with his knockout looks and magnetism. After three long years of balancing law school with his job as a bouncer at Penny's Palace, he's ready to lead a more mature life - until his first day of work, when he finds himself in the office of that crazy, hot chick he met in Cancun. The one he hasn't stopped thinking about.

If Ben truly were a smart guy, he'd stay clear of Reese. She's the boss's stepdaughter and it's been made very clear that office romances are grounds for dismissal. Plus, rumor has it she's trouble. The only problem is: He likes trouble, especially when it's so good-looking…

I have listened to every book on this series and this is the Best One of the bunch, along with Ten Seconds to Lose.
I have to give a lot of credit to Deacon Lee and Eizabeth Louise for taking this book and being able to visualize the characters and feel their every emotion ten fold.
After listening to the "Ten Tiny Breaths" series, I found that K. A Tucker has a way of writing that I really love more with each book.
This story of Reese who is a funny rebel of a young girl who has had a tough life and has a huge wall up. Then there's Ben, who was a bouncer at a Strip Club and now has passed the Bar exam and is a lawyer. The way Reese and Ben meet is so funny and then how they meet up later is even better. This story has so much humor, emotion, love and sadness all wrapped up in one book. This book left me not wanting to let go of it. I went back and listened to many parts a second time. Worth every penny!!

Don't Miss This One!! WOW!!

What other book might you compare Five Ways to Fall to and why?

It does remind me of a previous book I've read... Except I can't put my finger on which book it was.

Have you listened to any of Elizabeth Louise and Deacon Lee ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to Elizabeth's narrations before and this one was just as good. I really like her for the female POV in this series. I don't think I've listened to Deacon Lee before. I personally prefer Sebastian York's voice for the male point of view for this series. Don't get me wrong, Deacon Lee ultimately did a good job narrating the male POV. I just think I may have gotten use to Sebastian York's voice from the previous book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I don't know about an extreme reaction, but I really liked this book. I wish the characters from the previous books had more of a role, but I loved the new characters created in this book too.

Any additional comments?

Some previous reviews say they didn't like Reese, but I liked her. I think she was a perfect addition to the series.

Love this series...

I hated to see this series come to an end! I love K. A. Tucker's writing so much. Each and every story just gets better, and each main character's story is unique. The narrators in each book were the best too. I highly recommend the entire series.

Excellent book, excellent narrators!

Would you listen to Five Ways to Fall again? Why?

Yes, I really enjoyed this series.

What aspect of Elizabeth Louise and Deacon Lee ’s performance would you have changed?

I wouldn't cast Deacon Lee. His voice just didn't go with the personality of Ben that I imagined. Other than his voice the story was good. Elizabeth Louise was great.

Great end to a great series!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Five Ways to Fall?

Paintball! Reece's last meeting with her ex. Phone singing. To name a few.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were some laugh-out-loud moments. The dialog is well-done in K A Tucker's books. I also like her characters, they are well-drawn. The secondary characters in this one were great as well as the leads - Ben's mama and Reece's ASD step-brother, in particular!

Any additional comments?

This is the last book in this series, and my favorite. The characters were not as tormented, story not as violent or dark as some of the others. Ben was a wonderful character, I really liked him! Reading this one just after "Four Ways", I was at first disappointed that the male narrator was not Sebastian York again. After a few minutes I realized the brilliance of choosing Deacon Lee for this, as he sounded just like I imagined Ben would, with a smile or laughter in his voice! Elizabeth Louis was also enjoyable to listen to. I was glad to have this book in the audio version.

Narrators were great choice!

Ben and Reese are just growing up - overcoming ugliness in the past. Realizing there is another side to every story.

This one made me laugh

I really loved this series and I love Elizabeth Louise, but I can not stand Deacon Lee’s voice. It sounds like he is trying to hard to pronounce the words properly. I also felt like Ben’s voice needed to be a deeper voice.

Love the series
