What would you sacrifice for safety?

After stumbling across the remains of a casino in the south Texas desert, Wyatt and his family discover a community that promises them not only food and shelter but a new way of life.

Everything seems perfect. Too perfect.

In the midst of vicious attacks from roaming bands of cannibals and outlaws, Seth, Barbara, and Allie embrace the riches of their new lifestyle, but Wyatt grows suspicious that all is not as it seems. That Papa, the community’s larger-than-life leader, isn’t the benevolent figure he portrays.

Has Wyatt become paranoid after everything he has been through? Or is something sinister happening right under their noses?

Loved it!

Another awesome book in this series! Really enjoyed it from the first to the last. I never know what’s going to happen and usually I can predict books pretty well. The narrator did a fantastic job on this book. If you haven’t listened to any of the books he narrates, you are missing out!

Great Listen

What a great book for # 2 in the Cannibal Country Series...I am thoroughly enjoying this series, well written with plenty of action with great characters. As is usual Matthew Crow is great with the narrating, he is one of the better ones in the audiobook world. I was provided this audiobook for free in a promotion and this is my voluntary review

Slow to start, but good at the end

This book started slow. But ended with a bang literally. This is the second book i. The series and while it was not as good as the first, it was great at the end.

Matthew Crow is quickly becoming my favorite narrator. He brings every character to life with his range of voices and skill. Fast paced story that is well written and keeps everything moving. Provides hours of enjoyment while I work.

Fantastic

Another fast paced adventure that ascends past regular post apocalyptic stories.

The characters feel like old friends and are more human than others in books with one dimensional characters.

As always Matthew Crow is a Master narrator that brings the entire story to life!

Fantastic Series

The Flesh of the Sons is a well-written, fast-paced, thrilling, action-packed, and gory post-apocalyptic survival journey. The second book definitely surpassed the first book in the series with excellent plot twists; I was hooked from the very start. The characters are well-developed, real-to-life and, to some degree, flawed. Wyatt grapples with his morals that are in opposition to the beliefs and actions of the rest. The main cast continues to struggle to survive in an unforgiving world, where danger literally lurks everywhere with the threat of death and ruthless cannibals continually looming over their heads. I can't wait to find out what comes next! Matthew Crow's narration was outstanding. He captured the characters' distinct personalities and intensity of the scenes, further engaging the listeners. Overall, Flesh of the Sons was a gripping listen, one I'm strongly recommending.
