About this listen

Stone Barrington returns in the new edge-of-your-seat thriller from the number one New York Times best-selling author.

When he's apprised at the last minute of a mandatory meeting abroad, Stone Barrington rushes off to Europe for a whirlwind tour of business and, of course, pleasure. But from the start the trip seems to be cursed, plagued by suspicious "accidents" and unfortunate events, and some of Stone's plans go up in flames - literally.

Not a believer in coincidence, Stone sets out to learn the true source of his curious misfortune and finds that what appeared to be bad luck may, in fact, have been a warning.

From the chic streets of Paris to Italy's spectacular Amalfi Coast, Stone is pursued from all sides...but when the tables turn, the hunted may become the hunter....

Great escape reading

I love these stories. They take to a place other than work and everyday stresses. Make our longer car trips fly by

Mediocre

Mediocre. Typical Stone Barrington story. We love Stone, but these story lines require suspending disbelief. Most of the recent books sound like Stuart Woods or someone wrote them in an hour. Would like to see improved plots and better character development like some of the earlier books. MJ

Smashing

loved it but too short. I love Tony Roberts. Bring back Stone's son Peter. I also want to hear more from Will and Kate Lee!

Disappointed

Would you try another book from Stuart Woods and/or Tony Roberts?

Absolutely!! Both the author and reader are among the best.

What was most disappointing about Stuart Woods’s story?

It had a weak plot and a horrible ending. I finally got my friend to listen to a book, on a recent road trip. I just couldn't get engaged in the story line, it seemed to drag. The ending was so disappointing and made my friend angry.I'm still hoping to engage him in other books.

Have you listened to any of Tony Roberts’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to all the Stuart Woods books that Tony has done and even bought some books that Tony has read and enjoyed all of them.

Was Foreign Affairs worth the listening time?

Of course, anything that Stuart and Tony do is worth listening to but this one was a little flat for me.

Love Stone!!!!

If you could sum up Foreign Affairs in three words, what would they be?

Great Foreign Mystery

What was one of the most memorable moments of Foreign Affairs?

I especially like the traveling from one country to another but the suspense of who wants Stone dead NOW keeps me intrigued.......

What does Tony Roberts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tony reads Stuart Woods books with such enthusiasm and I like the different change in voices especially when he imitates Dino B.....

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No the whole book pulls you in just like the other books with Stone Barrington

Any additional comments?

Love the way Woods puts these together this was my 35th Stone Barrington book and each one leaves me greatly anticipating for the next.

Another good story

The first two reviews I read had me wondering what could have changed with the Woods/Roberts combo. I have listened to the entire series have enjoyed all the books, some more than others. I was happy when I discovered all was unchanged. Woods and Roberts were entertaining as usual. I'm not sure where the first two reviewers were disappointed. I found this book to be as entertaining as the previous books. If you are a fan of Stuart Woods I highly recommend this book.

A taste of Europe.

A little change of pace for Stone. The storyline is up to par for Woods fans. I’m always impressed with how entertaining Stone’s novels are. Enjoy.
