About this listen

After years of forming an intimate bond with a mysterious man every time she closes her eyes to dream, a young woman—Eliza—forces herself to find a fulfilling life outside the confines of her own mind.

Along with her partner Logan, she roams the safely discovered planets and moons of a newly traversable galaxy by inter-galactic transport, centuries after the evacuation of humans from Earth to a new home, Otera.

Silas, the unknown man in Eliza’s dreams, has spent most of his life as a contract pirate, formally known as a Mako, mining the unexplored lands of dangerous moons to earn a living. Having dreamt about a woman he’s never met every night for as long as he can remember, Silas has never allowed himself a relationship that reaches beyond physical, confident that one day, he would find the woman in his fantasies somewhere in the universe.

With Silas returning to the Otera, following a final job for a man to which he owes a debt, and Eliza heading back home after visiting the Glade moon with her partner, the two come face to face as both of their connection pods land on a transport vessel heading in the same direction.

Eliza is attached to, and traveling with, her long-term partner, and Silas is fulfilling a dangerous deal with a crime syndicate, with whom he has a past. Forced into the same proximity for the duration of travel, they struggle to understand what it means for them to finally meet when the universe seems to be pulling them both in different directions.

When the pair bond over their shared love for forgotten Earth-age classic literature, and the ways in which each have fallen in love with the other in their dreams, Eliza is torn between the life she’s always known on the Otera with her partner, and the infinite possibility of a future with the man she knows is her soulmate.

A dream for the ears!

I love how this story resonates with the dreamer in me. I still have a lot of questions about the ending, though. Jaclyn’s performance is top notch. It’s one thing to read the words, it’s completely different when each character is brought to life so distinctively. Each characters tonality was uniquely their own. I laughed, pouted, blushed (cause Jaclyn acting out the smut can do that to me). Key word, acting, not just narrating.

Good story but a few issues

I had to wait 24 hours to make this review to think about my review. First, this audiobook screams for duel narration. Secondly, the first person and third person views were difficult to follow. And lastly my big issue, if I had a choice I would have skipped the epilogue. Just me probably. Overall I loved it but the epilogue hurt me.

Could not put this book down!

I saw this book on a social media platform and immediately searched for it. I was a little skeptical because of its setting, but holy crow, it was worth the chance. Easily became on of my favorite books. I immediately recommend it to two people who aren’t put off by sex scenes and have a love of books.
The author did an AMAZING job with this story. I honestly loved the way the conflicts and their resolutions felt authentic and not over dramatized.
Lastly, the narrator did a wonderful just bringing this story to life. I honestly was shook.
For sure want a physical copy of this book.

Could not stop listening!

I found this recommended on a social media app and decided it sounded like something I would like: fated mates and sci-fi. This book was so, so good, it consumed my thoughts for 3 days until I finished it. I wanted to do nothing but listen to this audiobook, but alas I have a job and kids. It was such a beautiful love story with plenty of delicious spice. I also want to say that Jaclyn Kelso’s narration was an absolutely divine performance!

A love story with a twist

Absolutely loved the story and the narration of each character was fantastic. The ending was a shocker for me to say the least but in a good way.

beautiful story. wonderful love scenes.

I made a mistake and found a spoiler. Then I listened to the very end and thought fuck this. then against all that I listened to the whole thing and holy crap, it is good. sure there is a "it's a dream" theme at the end but it's not really a dream, it's insinuated it is an astral projection and that everything that happened will happen again. (with the possibility of a change due to her knowing what is happening) I also love the sounds of the mmc while love making. I wish men were so expressive in real life. It's not a five star book but out of hundreds of books in the past year, I listened to multiple chapters, multiple times. I love the main two together and I wish for a second book to show us what changes could happen with her current knowledge.

Adult SciFi romance with a purpose

I am so glad I got this audible before they start talking about making it into a movie. Also, I really hope they make it into a movie.

This book was recommended to me as a spicy SciFi romance. I can handle spice. A warning of adult content was a disclaimer mentioned at the beginning and I was like “oh boy! Strap yourself in”I was plenty surprised that the “spice” was very purposeful to the story line. It was NOT smut for the purpose of reading smut.
This author can write! I was engaged the whole book. She did an amazing job of writing for the characters and I felt like I knew them all.
The person who performed and read the audible deserves amazing accolades. She helped the author to develop these characters and gave an amazing performance. The readers can make or break a book. She made this book for me and I could tell she loved reading authors book.

Sweet sweet dreams

I was lucky enough to have read the early stages of this story before it was edited and published and i have to give a huuuuge thank you to the author for writing this beautiful story. I loved every minute of it. So fascinating. So romantic. I’ve been asking myself over and over “how does someone come up with an amazing story like this??” Incredibly written and performed. Thank you to everyone involved with this work of lovely art.

Unique and steamy story

I know this story from when it was online and it featured a specific character from a movie franchise. I thoroughly enjoyed it then and now! My only criticism is that Silas is portrayed as a loquacious man, yet we don’t hear him hardly at all in the first 4/5 of the story. And his voice was all wrong. Logan’s was spot on though.

Read this book or regret it forever!

Wow, this book. This book is a revelation. A collision of awe and fate, and it will haunt me for a long, long time.

Every night when Eliza closes her eyes Silas appears in her dreams. He’s the other half of her star soul, her lover and confidant, her perfect story tale. He’s a steady figment of her imagination, until he isn’t. Until he’s real and breathing and awake.

Kinword’s writing is beautiful and idyllic. I was eating up every lyrical line and committing to memory how palpable the pull was between Silas and Eliza. I was rooting for their love like I had some sort of stake in it, like my heart would shatter if the cosmos didn’t align for them. Jaclyn Kelso had me gobsmacked by her performance. I want to listen to everything she gifts us with!

Forget me Not will be my go-to recommendation for romance novels. The sci-fi setting is refreshing but not overwhelming. The romance leaves you heated and yearning for more and the spice is just as intense and passionate. The entire book is a work of art!
