About this listen

Three sisters formed into weapons.

One was called to fight for the Queen set on conquering their land. The other two are determined to find their own paths. If the three are brought back together, could they be the key to ending the Queen's terrible war?

Ellie Batair was sure of one thing and one thing only: if given the chance, she could defeat any man who stood in her way. When forced to enlist in the army of a Queen she hates and endure brutal, life-threatening trials, she comes face to face with the truths of her past. Truths that her years of training never could have prepared her for.

In order to survive, Ellie finds allies in the most unlikely of people: a young Elf, a cunning witch, and a haughty Fae.

The Forsaken Kingdom series is an action-packed fantasy with an intricate magic system, multiple bad-ass heroines, and fated mates. This series is perfect for fans of Throne of Glass, Air Awakens, and These Hollow Vows.

This had a lot of good elements in it, but im not sure I truly connected to anything.

just okay

I almost dnf'd a third of the way through because of slow pacing and lack of contractions (overly formal way of speaking, annoys me). I decided to stick it out and it gets better but not much. I also don't understand the whole "someone so beautiful that men and women will follow you" trope.

kinda tedious
