What did you love best about Freedom from the World?

The presentation by Tolle is wonderful. As a person who has enjoyed teachings by Ramana Maharshi, this is like the cousin of the teachings in a more modern and Western environment. While some books or presentations of this type often sound like talking points issued by a Self-Help Guru, this, I sense, is based on things more Universal and deeper,

Subject and content as well as the really cool sense of being in the audience and listening to the talk.

What about Eckhart Tolle’s performance did you like?

I like him and how he approaches things. Words and sentences often echo other, often far more ancient, sources.

I have read all of Tolle's books and thought I would like to hear his words from one of his retreats. It was very informative and helpful. I would recommend this for anyone starting to question their beliefs of the world.

What made the experience of listening to Freedom from the World the most enjoyable?

I love the philosophy of Eckhart Tolle's teaching. His unique explanation of "Presence" really resonates with me. His all inclusive way of viewing the world and paradoxically his steps to breaking free from it are very liberating to me. I felt a deep sense of freedom as I listened to this book.

What did you like best about this story?

His focus on inner purpose versus outer purpose was truly enlightening.

What about Eckhart Tolle’s performance did you like?

I really enjoy his calm and spiritual voice. He is one of my favorite spiritual teachers.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I have to listen to this more than once. The insights cannot be fully incorporated in just one session. I truly enjoy listening to this audiobook on my drive to work. Very contemplative and self introspective.

A lot of core ideas grom Eckhart on many topics...what happens upon death, what is enlightenment, what is being, what is present moment, what is anger, etc.
