About this listen

Tinker's Cove is abuzz with excitement when Norah, the queen of daytime TV, comes to town and selects Lucy and her pals to be featured in her "Women Who Make a Difference" episode. In recognition for their charitable work, the ladies and their husbands are awarded a dream vacation in Paris, complete with classes at Le Cooking School with renowned pastry chef Larry Bruneau. But their bon voyage is cut short when Lucy discovers the chef in a pool of blood on the second day of class. If she's going to enjoy her vacation, she'll have to unpack her sleuthing skills and clear her name. But will she be able to track down a killer more elusive than the perfect macaron?

The narrator is hard to listen to. Her character sounds stereotyped, especially the middle, eastern ones in her southern accent, sir not easy to listen to in Lucy‘s friends husband’s character. It just was wearing to listen to it and so I went and bought the book so I could read it, I could only get two the first few chapters, and then I had to give up

Good story, but hard to listen to the nearest

I have read all of the books in this series and I'm always impressed with the fresh storylines that Leslie Meier creates for Lucy. This was a very good story. I especially enjoyed the backstory and the political intrigue. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Another Visit with Lucy and the Gang

The story was very good, exciting with lots of twists; however I did not enjoy the narration at all. She sounded like she was whining and sighing throughout, almost to the point that I had to stop listening. I kept going to find out what would happen, but I will avoid anything read by this narrator in the future.

Liked story, not narration.

A bit heavy on stereotypes about France and the French!!!!!!the author used each and every stereotype about the French ...the Muslims!!!I found them offensive and insulting!!!!The plot.....not very substantial!!!!!!

Too many strereotypes

Lucy Stone, her husband and friends end up in Paris France for two weeks. Mysterious doings occur at the cooking classes, at her daughter’s workplace, at a hospital and back at the apartment. Lucy becomes embroiled accidentally and the “fun” begins. Enjoy

One of the Best

The story itself is boring. It makes Paris the last place one wants to visit. The narrator did too much fake French accent, which gave me a headache.

Not her best work

The narrator did a good job but the novel was extremely bad. Lucy Stone and her friends were rude, selfish & badly behaved in another country. The plot was unbelievable and ending did not satisfy. I disliked her daughter immensely.
So all in all good narrator but ALL characters are very unlikable!

Waste of a credit
