About this listen

Why couldn’t a sexy Frenchman be the way to nurse a broken heart on a honeymoon for one? The question plagued me, and part of me figured he was just what the doctor ordered!

On the steps of the Eiffel Tower, the hottest man I’d ever seen referred to himself as a wanker on the phone, and a surge of heat grew inside me.

And why did British slang suddenly sound like a name in my fantasies?

When Mr. Wanker shows up on my train to Italy, we make a deal that he’ll take me to Monte Carlo and then we can continue onto Rome, together.

My lonely honeymoon for one is now heating up.

And the more time I spend with my Mr. Wanker, the stronger my fantasies of tossing everything and moving to Europe play out in vivid color in my mind.

Falling in love wasn’t supposed to be a part of this vacation. Reality always ruined fairy tales....

Okay story

The story was okay; it had a few funny moments that made me laugh out loud. The storyline was a bit far-fetched but who knows, stranger things have happened. I think Rebecca Lee (His Muse) does a better job with French dialect; although these narrators were ok.

It was okay and fun read

It was ok. I really liked both of the main characters and narration for the audiobook version was great. I just didn't feel the connection and the story seemed a little rushed. I am very glad I listened but would not count it as a favorite of the Hero Club entries.

Loss and love

I appreciate the story that makes me smile. I enjoyed Cara and Quinten. I loved seeing Simon and Bridgette again too. A good performance even with the accent changes, but hard to do an British/French accent well. I recommend this for a sweet quick romance.

French Wanker

I love French accents so I picked this one up on AE. The narration was wonderful. The story was entertaining but a bit too instalove for me. Also everything came their way easily and all loose ends were wrapped up quickly and perfectly (a bit too perfectly for me). But it was worth the read/listen

Ridiculous

I downloaded this book because of Christian Fox, and I’m sorry I did. The story was ridiculous and unbelievable. The situations, interactions, and conversations between the characters were forced, melodramatic, unrealistic, and silly, not to mention repetitive. How many times can one person mention that he killed his brother and fiancé in one story? And how the Hell can you possibly use the Find My Phone app to track down someone, to a precise location in Monte Carlo, who was barely there for even a day from the US? Do yourself a favor, and skip this book.

Nope =/

🤯 Christian Fox does a French accent 🥵
Accents aside, I didn't care for how the story was written, too juvenile. Cara was written as just some horny teenager who can't see the forest through the trees while Quentin was deep and insightful. 🙄 Cara calling Quentin "Mr. Wanker" in her head constantly grated on my nerves. Maybe it's just me 🤷‍♀️, it's not I read some of the other reviews.
