From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes the much anticipated sequel to the best-selling royal romance, Royally Not Ready. Full of sweltering heat, suspense, and mystery, Quinn surprises you with some twists and turns while also delivering a perfect happily ever after.
I have two responsibilities as the new heir to the throne:
- Get married.
- Have babies.
Sure, becoming queen one day is part of those new responsibilities, but as long as King Theo is in charge, I don't have to add a coronation to my list.
That's why I find myself in the throes of wedding planning, pre-wedding classes with my broody, overprotective fiancé, and counting down the days until we can finally say I do.
But with every day we grow closer to our wedding, we seem to grow apart.
Our commonalities are tested. Our faith in each other is questioned. And our safety is threatened. The only thing working? The command he has over me in the bedroom.
I keep telling myself, it’ll all work out. We just need to make it to the wedding day. Except, when the day finally comes, everything falls apart.
We might have made it through the last few months together, but now I'm not sure we're going to make it out of this alive.

Great Sequel

The narrators do a great job doing so many voices with enough difference to be able to identify each character!
This is performed in duet, where the male narrator does all the male parts and the female narrator does all the female parts. That is my FAVORITE kind of narration, feels more believable.
There’s definitely some steaminess, as is the case with most all Megan Quinn novels. If graphic depictions are not for you, this might be a skip.
It seems like Megan Quinn never misses!
One where the sequel is better than the first! Duet 👍🏼 NO SPOILERS

I thought Lilly and Keller's story was complete, but this second book shows the other side to the HEA, the everyday struggles, the hardships that come with being a couple as well as all the royal requirements. According to royal tradition, the couple had to be apart before the big wedding. The push and pull of the different activities they were made to do made Lilly and Keller feel like their relationship was more a sham than love. This book was a bit darker than most of the author's books. But the author did a fantastic job of diving into the darker realm. Lilly and Keller struggled physically, mentally, and emotionally throughout the story. After all that turmoil, they get their HEA and all is good in the royal realm.
Samanthan Brentmoor and John Hartley were wonderful voices for Lilly and Keller. I felt the physical, mental, and emotional turmoil through their voices. The addition of James Joseph's voice was great as well.
I received an advance copy of this audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

And man did the narrators do a beautiful job. I read the first one so it didn’t bother me at all that it was a different female narrator. I thought she was perfect. And the full cast effect always makes me happy.
10/10 recommend!

Samantha Brentmoor, John Harley, James Joseph do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.
Stunning conclusion

I have to say this series was a bit different than most Meghan Quinn books that I have read in the past but it was a welcome change. It was a more action packed story than a typical rom com.
The two main characters, Lilly and Keller both loved each other with all their hearts and really needed to work hard to keep their relationship. Their heart wrenching journey was a roller coaster ride, never knowing where it was leading. If you like suspense, this one is for you!
The Narrators did an amazing job on this audio. Their voices fit the characters to a T which really brought them to life! A masterpiece!!
🔥Phenomenal 🔥

Royally in Trouble is the sequel to Royally Not Ready.
I loved Royally Not Ready so much. I did listen to that book, too, and part of the draw was Emma Wilder as one of the narrators. She isn't the narrator for Lilly in this book, though, and I was bummed.
I did enjoy this enough to give it 3.5 stars (and that's probably because I am a huge fan of this author), but I also feel like this book wasn't really necessary. Keller and Lilly already had their story and happy ever after. Lilly seemed to mature some in this book, but Keller's insecurities of not being good enough for Lilly were really high. Plus, there was too much miscommunication between them and the book was way too long.
I am a huge fan of this author, and though this wasn't the book for me, I will definitely continue to look forward to her upcoming books.
Thank you to the author for an advanced reader copy and advance listener copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is good, but not a favorite.
