Publisher's summary

Andrew didn’t realize he might be autistic until his girlfriend, Michelle, approached him about it months into their relationship. No amount of life experience could’ve prepared Michelle for the confusion she felt while dating Andrew, as he was unlike any man she had ever dated before. The thought never dawned on her that she could fall deeply in love with a man who was autistic or that he might be unaware of this, even into his 30s.

Whenever they share their story, they are asked the same three questions:

How did you figure out Andrew was autistic?
How did you approach him about it?
How did you get a diagnosis?

These are all fair questions and have interesting and often comedic answers. In this compelling book, Michelle and Andrew answer these questions and share much more.
You will follow along as their FRIENDSHIP unexpectedly blossoms into a relationship. You will see LOVE flourish among ridiculous twists and turns. They bring you along for the AUTISM diagnosis that allowed them to grow a deeper understanding of each other.
Andrew’s contributions to this book are invaluable as they give insight as to what life is like to be him. Michelle’s humor and authenticity are both unexpected and refreshing.

Come along on this outrageous journey of friendship turned to love on the spectrum.

A truthful experience in a lighthearted delivery

I especially enjoyed Andrews views and he has a great voice for narration. The chapter on intimacy was so helpful, especially since I’m also a later diagnosed autistic adhd person. I had so many aha moments. Michelle and Andrew are the kind of people I’d like more of in my life

Best book I have read

Very pleased with this book. What a wonderful book if your looking for other people’s experiences to learn about your own. And the way the book is written makes it an easy read. I finished it in 3 days (listened to audible at work)

Where was this books 5 years ago?

This book has completely changed the way my husband and I work together. Granted, we only realized he has autistic traits in the last year. However, this totally changed the way we act towards one another.

this didn't disappoint!

This book was honest, heartwarming, and relatable. It's a love story, it's a study of human nature and communication, and it's a book chock full of easy to implement suggestions on how to support the autistic in our lives.

I loved it

I honestly LOVED this book! I found Michelle and Andrew on social media a few years ago and fell in love with them. Michelle and I have corresponded a few times messaging back and she makes me feel like we’ve been friends for years and years. This book is exactly the same. It feels like you’re sitting down with a friend just discussing life. Hearing about Andrews diagnosis was so eye opening and learning on being more direct like Andrew isn’t a bad thing. I’ve learned things about myself while reading this book. I highly recommend giving this book a read!

Entertaining but I wanted more substance

I have followed this couple for a while and because of them my husband started suspecting of being in the spectrum, for this reason I bought the book to better understand him. Although entertaining I felt like some more tips on autism would be great. Also I wanted to read more of Andrew and his perspective in life to better understand people with autism.
