Lenna is Strength, a manifestation of the tarot card, and powerful beyond reckoning. But when she's pulled into the human realm and tasked with protecting a young boy, everything is thrown into chaos. Lenna's not supposed to be here, interacting with mortals. She's definitely not supposed to be drawn to the sexy mercenary sent to retrieve her by any means necessary.
As a Hunter for magical beings, Caine's duty is simple: return this compelling, impossibly attractive woman and secure the long-lost tarot deck that made travel between worlds possible. Instead he's drawn into Lenna's dangerous rescue mission and blindsided by his growing feelings. But there is more than one enemy to contend with. And as the clock runs out, failure means not just the loss of an innocent life and the woman Caine has come to love but the destruction of Lenna's entire world.

Ms. Howard is a great story teller, but with paranormal she leaves you hanging.
Paranormal is not her strong suit

I loved the characters and glad that the killer wasn’t able to find the child to kill him. Love everything about this book. It’s so different to what I am use to from the author but still a good read.
Good read

a cry for "help" from young Elijah ACTIVATES the mystical powers the rare Alexandra Deck of Tarot Cards. Transported to Earth from another world is Lena FROST who is the "image" of strength in the Tarot Card Deck. Elijah is hiding in a closet from a grizzly murder of his mother. The "key" here is a complete duck of cards for the powers to work. On arrival Lena "removes" 2 cards in the deck and hides them, this temporarily "disables" the powers of the deck. Elijah touches the heart of Lena and both are soon on the run from both his mother's killer and the police. Next to arrive is HUNKY Caine a "HUNTER" from the same world as Lena to "retrieve" her. Lena has ideas of her own, and says NO. The lovely SEXY Lena is more than his match. His wonder sexual attraction (LOL) side track both his goal AND his logic. ADDED to the mix are 3 more "greedy rogue" hunters who transport to earth to KILL Lena and Caine and retrieve the Tarot Deck to gain TOTAL POWER. There is a final show down between the rogue hunters and Caine. But the untapped powers of Lena who discovers how strong her powers become when needed. This is a science fiction /fantasy story. The Tarot Card angle holds the plot together. The story drags a bit in the middle but the final battle is worth the wait I give it 4 STARS~ for plot and characters. The READER could have been much better. ~ over all interesting plot and characters. Excellent description of the Tarot Card powers and arrival of Lena from Linda Howard and Linda Jones.
the Tarot Cards hold the power of Life and Death~

What would have made Frost Line better?
A real plot that made sense and decent characterizationWhat could Linda Howard and Linda Jones have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Realistic characters given their magical natureHow could the performance have been better?
Both the writing and the performance left me cold, I didn't care about the people in the story,You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The first chapter had potential. It set up what could have been an interesting story.A boring story by a usually great author
