Publisher's summary

Two hundred years after the Raintree clan defeated and abandoned them on a small Caribbean Island, the Ansara wizards are rising again to take on their bitterest foes. Despite their extraordinary powers and supernatural origin, the Raintree have largely blended into the modern world. They are bankers, cops, husbands, wives, and lovers in the society of humankind. But now, from Nevada to North Carolina, the rejoined battle will measure the endurance of their people. It will test their loyalties and relationships. And it will force them all into new lives they could barely have imagined before.

Wonderful Series

Since I am into paranormal, this series suited me to a T. It was well written, by the by several authors.
Well preformed by the readers.

Good, but a bit abrupt

I liked this, and thought it set up a good world and decent premise. But the whole thing felt very abrupt, almost truncated at the end. The relationship between these two was sort of not there one second, there the next, and it gave me whiplash! I'm definitely intrigued by this world and interested in reading more. Well, I love Linda Howard so I'm game for just about anything she writes.

unexpectedly good

Usually enjoy Linda Howard as an author, but wasn't sure about paranormal. Turned out to be a great listen - Looking forward to more like it! Great narration!

Don’t like Teaser!

I do not like books that continue like soap operas or television. This was a total tease. A set up to force you to read the next three books of the series! A let down to Linda Howard fans!

One of my favorite trilogies

This Trilogy was super clever. 3 books, 3 authors. A good read and a good listen.

The female narrator ruined this book!

I can't say that this was a great book. The story was hard to follow because of the narrator. Her voice grated on my nerves to the point that I would have to stop listening after a short time. I will however read the other two books in this series and hope that the other narrators do the books justice.

Just okay

I didn't get a rapey feel from the events that took place. Although I am normally a huge fan of quick romances, I just couldn't get into these characters. The chapters kept ending off in weird places, and I found myself wanting more information and back story. The story does leave off in a cliffhanger and I wish it didn't but I'm a little intrigued to hear what happens next.

Half a Book

I've read many books (and listened to them too) that had no conclusive ending and it doesn't generally bother me, but this one cuts off so abruptly that I had to check to make sure I wasn't missing a file. It is LITERALLY only 1/2 a book. So if you can put up with that, the story is not bad. It's a little too heavy on the romance novel kind of genre and there are a lot of explanations on the "powers" that I THOUGHT they were leading up to (but never go into in depth), but it's fairly interesting. Not a heavy read, so if you're looking for a little escapism and don't mind that it is predictable, then go ahead. I do still feel gyped because they didn't publish the whole story...a blatant attempt to sell two books instead of one.

Great story

I loved the "Raintree" trilogy! Although the female voice in "Inferno" was anoying and grating on the senses. The story was great if you can get around the female voice.
