It's not easy being a girl. It's even harder when you're the only girl in a family of werewolves. But it's next to impossible when your very existence spells out the doom of your race.... Meet Jessica McClain - she just became part of the pack.
In the vein of Kelley Armstrong and Patricia Briggs, a new urban fantasy that rewrites the werewolf myth....

The narrator sounds too young.

What did you love best about Full Blooded?
Good story. What other book might you compare Full Blooded to and why?
Silver BorneWho would you have cast as narrator instead of Casey Holloway?
Lorelei KingIf you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
??Any additional comments?
Narrator kills this story. Sounds like she was reading the story for the first time. The halting naration is really bad.Narrator Kills Story

The story itself was only okay for the first half, but by the middle of the book I was pretty into the story. I will most likely get the next book in the series, but in hard copy if they use the same narrator.
A rough start, but better towards the middle.

Amanda Carlson is a great new author.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I'd like to for the story, it had promise...but probably not. Truly barely made it thru the whole thing myself because of the poor and irritating narration. Couple of times was very close to just quitting listening, but hate to get into a story just to quit it.What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Was so relieved to reach the end of the annoying narration, that I really didn't pay a whole lot of attention to ending, except for the "not-quite finished, please read the next book" type of ending.Would you be willing to try another one of Casey Holloway’s performances?
NO. Until this narrator either grows up into her voice, and improves the robotic stilted quality, improving tremendously or the writer uses another narrator, I will not buy any more of this series, nor any other book where she is listed as narrator. Sorry, but much MUCH more practice is needed before going live again.Do you think Full Blooded needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes, it didn't end with any kind of finality. However, I will not buy a follow-up book if the author keeps this narrator.Any additional comments?
very disappointed all told.Story was/could have been interesting....but

There is some yummy men, there is a strong female, father-daughter, sister-brother, and some fight scenes.
So if you don't want to get into a long series, this is not a book for you, if you can't get into an book if the narrator does not fit your imagination then look else where. But if you like have lore retold in a different way then check this out.
Hope you agree and enjoy good listens:-)
I want more!!!! Audible please record 2nd book:-)

Would you listen to Full Blooded again? Why?
Probably not although I will listen to the next book in the series because I do like the story line.Did Casey Holloway do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Casey did fine with the female characters but the male characters leave a lot to be desired. I never knew which male was talking unless it was mentioned. I am hoping she gets better because as hot as some of the characters are made out to be, if I heard them actually talking like that, I would have a hard time keeping a straight face.Any additional comments?
As I mentioned, I will listen to book 2 because the story line drew me in but sometimes I just wanted to hit Jessica off the side of the head and the narration for the male charaters need to be better.Like the story but....

What did you love best about Full Blooded?
I liked the story idea. I even got into the characters and story line. But the narrator almost ruined it for me. She did a number of voices which weren't terrible but it's the way in which she read. It was as if she tried to enunciate each word....so much so it sounded stiff and mechanical. It really detracted from the whole experience. It was so bad I had this huge desire multiple times to just give up on the book because I couldn't stand this woman's mechanical way of reading. I'd love to see where this series goes next, but if they keep the same narrator I might have to rethink it awhile. Not a bad story but...
