Story
Clarity's home is her spaceship. Living on the move. Planet to planet. When money trouble forces Clarity and her traveling companion, Irohann, to take on passengers, Irohann worries his secret identity will be revealed. He's a canine alien on the run from an empire of sentient plants, and their queen has a personal vendetta against him. Heartsick at the idea of losing their ship, Clarity accepts an offer that's clearly too good to be true, and they find themselves swept up in the crazy schemes of a rogue AI in a stolen robot body, and her haphazardly assembled team of disparate aliens.

Forget life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.... Surviving is a feat in and of itself. Seventeen-year-old Ellie Hudson immerses herself in the few things the Supply Wars haven't destroyed - her ranch work and secret baseball games with her best friend. But her power-hungry stepmother is leading a group of domestic terrorists in an effort to start another Civil War and frame Ellie as the instigator. Ellie’s lost her father, her home, and her country, but nothing can rob her of her need to preserve the American dream - or what’s left of it.

Story
I was in my garage, when the space elves addressed the whole world. They didn't call themselves space elves, of course, but most humans struggled to pronounce Khjurhnalva. They had a message for us: Forces that had eradicated their species' males were heading for Earth. The space elves offered us access to the System, as cooperation was vital to the survival of both our species. I, Mathew, know all of the above is bullshit. I saw the truth with my own eyes, heard it from their beautiful, deceitful mouths. No one believes me, though. A planet-wide, survival reality show? Ridiculous.

Pete is a simple man who enjoys a good drink amongst good friends. Not too much to ask, right? Now, he's trapped in a fantasy world far from home, stuck underground and inside the body of a smelly dwarf with fantastic facial hair. The worst part? The swill that the dwarves are falling all over themselves to drink. It's flat, it's watery, and it has the alcohol content of a rancid coconut. Can Pete save the dwarves from their own sour fate, or will he be forever doomed to plink his pickaxe away in hopes that he hits the motherlode?

compelling story
the fourth book is ridiculously " green," indicating mother earth is upset with us do to global warming. as a geologist and meteorologist i know we are around the middle between global temperature extremes, and in no way damaging planet Earth. While global warming is problematic for humans, it has been way hotter and life has thrived.

Good story. Love that Gaia loves coffee, too.
I like the story, it is different. The paranormal being figuring out who they are and all, I like it. But, what I appreciate more, is that Gaia starts her day right, with the right cup o' Joe. We have that in common.

Suburban fantasy?
The voices were good, the writing good too. We don't need to know the name of the doorbell chime tune every time it sounds unless it changes though. A lot of saving life as we know it - would make a good series of movies.
I was given this audiobook for free and have voluntarily left this review.

The stories were predictable...
Yes I managed to read all 4 books.
The narrator Sierra Kline does a fine job narrating this story ARC, but it's like trying to put lipstick on a pig.
I osillated between liking the MC, Gaia and yelling at her. The stories were all predictable. The main character at times went from kickass to pathetic and whiney, never quite believing in herself from book to book, unless someone else points out the path... thus enabling her to do what she could've done all along!

Good except for the last book.
I liked the first 3 books but the last book ruined the first three for me. It punched too many holes in the other three. I liked the performance though.

Is this just an eco warrior book?
Hard to follow. It's more about saving the earth than anything else at all. Could have been better
