About this listen

New World. New System. Same old Necromancer.

After fulfilling the duty all Arch Necromancers are tasked with, the last thing Sylver Sezari expected was to be reborn. He was usually the one reanimating dead things, after all. How ironic.

But reborn he was.

And after crawling his way back into the land of the living, he finds himself in a strange land, a strange time, and with a strange floating screen in front of his new face.

Either through plan or chance, he’s alive again, and planning to enjoy himself to his heart's content.

Don't miss this LitRPG adventure about a reincarnated Necromancer growing in power and finding his way in a new world where the rules have changed vastly since he last "lived."

About the series: With equal parts humor and dark sorcery action, expect loads of skill progression, deep worldbuilding, and unforgettable characters in this story which had nearly 10 million views on Royal Road. Now completely revised and re-edited for Kindle & Audible.

On Net Good

I think I like this overall. it does a great job of making an OP MC make sense. He was challenging at times for me to root for but I think having all 4 books made me want to continue I otherwise I think I might've only read 1 - 2 books. Either way good value. I like the narrator.

All Over the Place

When people talk about this series online, the criticisms I read were about the morality of the protagonist. While he's not a traditional hero, I found the protagonist's morality internally consistent. My issues are with the narrative failing to build to a climax and with numerous elements of the system mechanics being left either unexplained or seeming to be poorly designed and/or inconsistent.

There's all this time taken to tell us stats and that the protagonist has earned exp, etc. and yet the important bits of progression that allow the character to grow stronger are ignored because the character is already extremely strong without the system and the available perk choices are dog water. Plus, the character seems to involve more and more people in his life despite his objectives being to gain power before the powerful notice him and to find out if any of his dead friends from before his death have also reincarnated. The second objective makes some of his choices make sense, but then he starts making choices for money that he doesn't need or use that further involve him in politics and expose him. It all just feels like the writer wrote it as he went along and didn't plot it out beforehand. While some authors can do this effectively, the result - at least in the first book of this series where I stopped - is a mess. Hopefully, it improves.
