About this listen

A lost weapon. A forgotten enemy. A new alliance will rise.

An old enemy has returned. Militant zealots backed by a new leader who harbors a thirst for revenge. To face them, Reklin, a retired soldier, must enter the Grand Hunt, a brutal contest where people are prey, and rival teams are culled from the best soldiers in the galaxy. On such a mission, not everyone is coming home.

Ero Bright’Lor, an outcast krey noble, has a mad plan to form an alliance from the outlaw clans. If he can overcome centuries of enmity, their combined might would threaten the entire fleet of the Krey Empire. But the cause needs a leader.

Fortunately for him, a distant scavenger vessel has discovered the wreck of a drifting starship. Beneath the twisted hull of the derelict, Siena has waited 12 years for rescue. As a youth she was augmented into a living weapon, and her power has only grown in captivity....

Don't miss the start of this military sci-fi epic from Ben Hale, number one Amazon best-selling author of The Augmented. It's perfect for lovers of both Star Wars and Star Trek, as well as fans of authors such as Chris Fox, J.N. Chaney, and Lindsay Buroker.

He did Siena Dirty

I really don't like the narration style on this one. When he is just reading its good until he gets to the voices why are all the guys sound like growly old men there is no distiction there. However his voice is what I imagined Ero's voice to be at first a bit more youthful than the original VA. The og. Va had the arrogance and cockiness downpat tho. The biggest crime was his voice for Siena. She sounds like an old women. She is 29- 30 years old she shouldnt sound so old. He did better with Mora. I think a female voice actor like in the original trilogy would have helped alot. he could focus on making a distinct voice for Krey, Dakaron and Humans. Siena also could have sounded her age as well

Great story, disappointing narrator

Loved the continuation of the story, hated that the original three narrators were not involved. The new narrator really spoiled the experience.

A great start to new series!

I really loved Alliance of Outlaws. It's a story with two POV's both without knowing it are working towards the goal. First we have Relkin an ex military man who believes that humans have rights too. And is gonna fight for 'em. And then there's Ero Bright'Lor whose been the disavowed son of a Krey noble house. And he's ready to take down the whole Krey governing body to assure that the humans equal rights.
It's a great start to a new series. Both POV's are really compelling and I recommend that you'll need to add this story to your library... Ohhhh and btw Ryan Kennard Burke did a great job narrating this book.

Good story, terrible performance

After listening to the the first set of Augmented books, where the performance was excellent, listening to Ryan Kennard Burke was like 8+ hours of nail on chalkboard abuse to the ears. His insistence on every male character speaking in a growl and every woman sounding like they are about to have an orgasm. Absolutely terrible. So bad I returned the audible book and swapped to kindle. I hope Ryan Kennard Burke gets better. Because this was just bad.

As to the book, I am sure from the first couple chapters I endured, it’s going to be as good as the first series, but the narrator has to go.

Wow for as a start to a new series it’s amazing!!!!

The story was packed with exciting, and tense action scenes. Packed with all them emotions from intense happiness to sadness. I enjoyed it, and can’t wait to listen to the one whenever it comes out.

Not disappointed in the long wait.

Great start to this Trilogy, I will say however, this could have just been added to the augmented series, since it is a continuation of the last trilogy and unlike BH's other Luminea books these have the distinction of having the same characters along with a few new ones, whereas the other series are separated by thousands of years.

The story starts off strong and continues that way throughout the first book. There is a lot to unpack in terms of what's happening and I think the author does a great job in bringing these people together. I am sad a the loss of one of my favorite characters, so get ready for that.

A lot of the reviews here focus on the narrator, I want to say this because it is true: he does a fine job with his performance. The issue is that the trio of voice actors in the augmented did so well with that trilogy and we are dealing with the same characters that it can be tough to accept as a fan one narrator. Had this been a new story with a similar distant connection to the previous work as is with the rest of his series this would not be an issue or even be noticed.

I still enjoyed the work and look forward to the rest of the series.
