[???]: A source of infinite potential.

Perhaps he'll finally get to put his gift to good use.

HWFWM lite sprinkled with System Universe

No a bad use of a credit but I haven't found anything new or anything to be excited about in this story. MC is OP and everything comes easy so it is a traditional isekai story.

Still a fun story and I hope there are real challenges, character development, and maybe a training montage or something instead of everything being spoon fed to the MC

Great first book

If you like OP fund MC then this is the book for you. The world building is good. There is a mystery in the back story and great character progression. Loved the book. Starting on book 2. The narrator on audible does a great job.

Fun Isekai LitRPG

Great story and character progression! I enjoyed the MC and his powers. The other characters are well thought out and developed so they don't just seem like simple-minded NPCs but actual people. Peter Kenny is a fun choice for narrator, and I love hearing about the bunny! If you know, you know. ;)

kind of generic

the story is ok. the narrator is good but has weird accent. nothing outstanding and somewhat bland. no real character development and its very similar to good stories that already exist with nothing to set it apart or make it truly memorable.

Series desperately needs a VA change

Okay so I read most of this book on RR and then Patreon a while ago but put it down due to some of my favorite series’s getting new installments. I recently decided to swing the block and check it out on audible to catch back up before diving back into the series. That was a terrible choice.

The narrator is excruciatingly bad. The random accents he adds to the characters are just awful. He gives the MC a lisp, and sometimes slips into a very random, slightly“New Yorker” like accent. He also randomly adds “R”s to the end of words, like “Mannar” instead of “mana”. And then sometimes cuts off the ends of word in a weird attempt at slang. He also has a very distinct cadence to his reading. It’s hard to explain but he starts every sentence in a low pitch and ends in a higher pitch. There’s more but I won’t continue ragging on how bad he is.

Some might say that’s being too nitpicky, but it honestly makes the book unlistenable for me. I’ll be adding Petter Kenny to my list of VAs to avoid like the plague, up there with Daniel Wizniewski, and ill switch to kindle for the rest of this series.

A good start to a power progression fantasy

I will say that the beginning of the book plays very similarly to the start of he who fights with monsters with Jason and I shall list those similarities. Noah is summoned to another world by an accident by cultists manges to kill way above his weight class. gets knocked out a couple times. gets slightly sinister powers and after the cult shenanigans he's let loose to discover the world but a major shift from he who fights with monsters is Noah is presented with a big bad group who Noah hates and thus shall kill. And everything about the story is great except the narrator with his lisp. he will pronounce mana as manner sometimes and Aurelia is sometimes Auralela or aurlia and other butchered words. but overall I like it and while he felt comparable to Jason at the beginning he becomes his own unique character later so it's a solid 8/10 would have been a 10/10 if the author picked a better narrator

nasal narrator but great story

The narrator used the most obnoxious, nasal voice for the main character. Yes, he is portrayed as a frequently annoying guy but this was over doing it. It made it difficult to listen to but I'm glad I powered through it. It has all the hallmarks of a typical isekai but I liked the character development, humor and interesting world building will probably keep reading if not listening.
