Publisher's summary

“Now, there was nothing holding me back. I kissed her deeply, passionately. Kissed her for every time I’d wanted to and couldn’t. For every time I’d stared at her with longing in my heart, wishing we could be where we were now.”

It’s never too late.

Loving a woman you can’t have isn’t easy. Ben Gaines knows this all too well. He endured the slow torture of watching Shannon Miles live a life with another man - a man who didn’t deserve her - but he doesn’t regret a minute of it. And he has his reasons.

Now, she’s free. No longer shackled to a loveless marriage, bound to someone who was unfaithful and heartless.

But Shannon thinks her time has passed; that she won’t get another chance at love, especially with Ben. The man who’s been there to see it all. Her mistakes. Her hurt. Her heartache.

If only she knew. Ben loves her with everything he is, and he wants nothing more in life than to spend every moment with her. After all, he’s waited a long time for his chance.

It’s time for their happily ever after.

Author’s note: A sexy silver fox who’s waited half his life for the woman he loves. A peek into the past. And the happily ever after you’ve been waiting for. Finally.

The Miles Family is best enjoyed in order.

Gaining Miles

Narration: John Lane and Donna Postel did a fabulous job with this performance. I think this is the first narration I have heard form either or them, but very well done. Can't wait to find their other works.

Story: I love that Ben finally gets his HEA. He was so patient and loving to the whole family and deserved to be part of this family more than almost anyone. One of my favorite things about this book/series is that it truly begins and ends with Shannon. He marriage ending starts the series, and the series ends with her finding true love after all the bad that she and the family have had to go through. This was such a great way to end the Miles Family. I cant wait till the Bailey brothers come out.

Nice conclusion

I absolutely loved this entire series. My only complaints are that there aren’t more books in the series... I am gonna miss the Miles family! My other complaint is that this, the final one should have been longer giving Ben & Shannon more time. Overall a very good series to listen to.

A Family Wrapped in Bliss

This is the best introduction to this book, the boy is Cooper, no doubt. Benjamin (Ben) Gaines, oh Cooper he always wants to help... Love him. I'm loving this book and I'm even jealous of Shannon, she has a great life and is being pursue by a man who truly loves her. I feel like I want to cry, hearing Ben confessing why he stayed at the winery. So Grace Miles, a step sister, who's father, Lawrence committed bigamy by marrying Naomi Harris and having two kids with her, Grace and her little brother. Yeah, Lawrence was a scoundrel, reason why he is serving a life sentence. Interesting , Grace fiance, Usher just recently got out of jail. Cooper and Amelia are pregnant and having twins, boys! Coincidentally, Zoe and Roland are also pregnant with the second child. Leo and Hannah had another child, aboy called Zachary. Bryn and Chaxe have a dog, named scout, no children. An interestng ending , that summarized the Miles family future, which includes Grace's mom, Naomi, fiance Jack, and Usher's brothers. Good narration and liked how Claire !Kingsley wrapped the entire series together

Such a great series

Wow…. I loved this series so much!! What a great find!! I loved that Ben and Shannon’s book was last. It showed over the whole series how much they cared for each other and that you can love again after so much heartbreak!!
Now it looks like I’m on to start The Baileys Brothers series!! 💕

Slow burn of epic proportions

I’m not real sure if the final book of the Miles family was supposed to be the one I found the best & sexiest…but mission accomplished. There’s just something about how Ben was so patient and so respectful and just so absolutely perfect for Shannon. And so perfect for the Miles family as a whole. He had loved them and supported them their whole lives. He said it best when he said that they were his kids. They saw him as more of a father than they did Lawrence. It was only natural that he finally got the woman he had loved from afar for so long.

John Lane was *chef’s kiss* perfect!! I could listen to him narrate more. Donna Postel was perfect for Shannon, she just has that motherly feel to her voice.

Lovely conclusion to the series

I absolutely adored this novella as the perfect conclusion to the Miles family series with the epilogue introducing another series. Ben and Shannon had suffered through so much and been there for each other for so long that it was incredibly romantic and gratifying to see them finally be together and get their HEA. The wrap up and peek into their futures was wonderful and everything I needed to comfortably move on to the Bailey Brothers series. John Lane and Donna Postel were perfect casting for this couple and for the conclusion of this amazing series with this lovable family.

What a great way to wrap it up

I’m so glad there was a wonderful happy ending for Ben and Shannon. And what a great way to sum up the rest of the family and a sneak peek of what’s coming up for Grace.

Love it, but would've liked a longer book

Love that Shannon had a happy ever after, and loved that it included Grace's epilogue, but really wished the book was longer. Story felt a little rushed.

Omg this was too short!!

I did not notice this was a little over 2 hrs. I was left wanting more but felt it all came together pretty well. I will be getting the next series on Gracies fiancé brothers story. Loving this author.
