I don't play dirty, I play to win.
"The more innocent a girl looks, the wilder she is in bed...and that goes double for Natalie"
I went to see my childhood idol but instead I saw the girl I could never forget. People always say there's always one that got away, and for me that was Natalie. We spent one amazing summer together but then I never saw her again...until now.
"Good girls love bad boys always seemed like such a cliché saying to me."
From the moment I saw him on my doorstep I knew I was his, whether I wanted to be or not. Our time together was sinfully sweet but also short, as we both knew it had to come to an end. Only for me, it was just the beginning, as after Chris left I found out I was pregnant with his child.

Any additional comments?
I am not even sure I should rate this audio because I did not finish it. The reasoning being that I had a hard time getting through the “she said, he said” every few words. My feelings are if you are doing character voices let the voice tell who is saying what. A few of these are find but as many times as it was being done in this audio is way, way to much. I did not finish the audio but I did read the story and found that much more enjoyable.Ms. Mitchell does have a pleasant voice. Her character voices are great you always know who is talking and what they are feeling. She gives a lot of emotion to the audio hitting the tones right. The only problem I had was the he said she said so many times. It was so much it was hard for the narrator to go out of character voice to her normal voice in a smooth transition. From what I did listen to there was no background noise or any repeat of wording. The volume pretty much stayed the same throughout. It just wasn’t smooth maybe a pause is needed between the he said she said it was all blended together. My thoughts are it just isn’t needed since the voices shows who is talking. I really do not know what rating to give this so I am going with a 3 since the rest was good.
As far as the author she gives a compelling read of a second chance, secret baby that really pulls the reader in. The playboy side of Chris gets him in hot water with Natalie father who comes across as over powering along with over protective. But I think most of us would feel the same way if it was our daughter. Things ends so fast until you fast forward five years to a chance meeting and a little boy leaving Chris unsure of what to do. The author gives you a romance of ups and downs, confusion along with heartbreak. It was a fun reading about these characters and all they have to go through to find a happy ending.
great fun story

The narrator did a good job bringing the story to life.
Chris was really an immature guy. Specially for how old he was. He acted more like a high schooler than a NFL player. The story also jumped from when they met to about 5 years later.
Natalie was unusually dependent on her father. He was pretty controlling and judgmental. I was shocked at what he did to her. Lying about Chris was so wrong regardless of his intentions.
The story concludes with a HEA which is my type of conclusion! No Cliffhangers here.

What did you love best about Game Winning Catch?
It was sweet, and upbeat for majority of it, and a quick listen for those who have limited time. What did you like best about this story?
The characters were true to themselves during every stage the progressed through.Have you listened to any of Aundrea Mitchell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Aundrea is a very enthusiastic and upbeat performer. It makes the story feel bubbly, however at time it can feel like it is paced too quickly and rushed. Sometimes you want to hear the pause in speech, or delay to show the characters hesitation in the scene. Bubbly and enthusiasm are great, and the performance was good, but isn't always how real people talk everyday. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I enjoyed the declaration of love, the gift at the end, and the bonding for father/son.Any additional comments?
This is a more light hearted listen, if you are more inclined to listen to books that have a strong character building moment, or crucial dilemma, than this book may not be for you. However if you enjoy a light, sweet, and simply quick story, that doesn't require in depth thought and gut wrenching emotion this is a great one to grab. It is what I would call a palette cleanser, for a break after reading a heavily emotionally drawing story. It's a pick me up listen. I was given this audiobook for free from the author, narrator, or publisher for my unbiased review.Second chance sweet baby romance

Game Winning Catch Review...

There are lots of issues that come up that cause problems for them and just as everything is going well something comes up. A few time I found myself thinking 'no don't...' but the characters weren't listening.
It's nice to see a relationship where both people go after their career goals and support each other rather than one putting their career on the back burner so the other can succeed.
Aundrea has a very distinctive narration style, I recognized her withing minutes of the book starting. I've always enjoyed her narration and this book is no different. I like the pacing and the smooth delivery. The character voices are well done I like her male voices, and I'm impressed with how well the male POV sections work.
