About this listen

Brilliant kids from all over the country are disappearing - but no one knows why. Until now.

In the cockpit, Search and Rescue pilot Deb Lansing is in control: her flight, her rules. But after the suspicious disappearance of her supersmart younger sister, she knows this is one rescue mission she can’t fly solo. She needs help. She needs Gabe Montgomery.

An earth-shattering betrayal led former SWAT officer Gabe Montgomery to his current deep-cover assignment. But he trusted Deb Lansing with his life once before and she’d pulled him through. Now it’s his turn to repay the feisty redhead - even if it threatens to blow his covert op.

As Deb and Gabe get closer to the answers - and closer to each other - their investigation reveals a startling pattern: gifted kids from all over the country are going missing after mastering the popular video game Point of Entry. And when bodies turn up, the new lovers will face a ruthless fiend known only as the Warden. Will they be able to find Deb’s sister, or will she vanish like so many others?

Another pulse-pounding Montgomery Justice novel proves that a Montgomery man always plays to win.

Game of Fear

Great story, crazy, far out, conspiracy theory type plot, enjoyable characters. The narrator did an good-ish job with the reading, but didn't show much difference in the voices. Even between men & women, you couldn't always tell who was talking.

Excellent narrator raises the star count

Overall I enjoyed this one. Mainly, I have to say, because of the outstanding performance of the narrator. For me the narrator is SO important and I have been so disappointed with so many narrators in the past that, these days, I tend to select a book to spend my money on based on the narrator. I have never been disappointed with this narrator. A very talented actor/reader.

The book itself had an interesting premise and there was plenty of action/excitement. The romance was relegated to second place behind the action so I wouldn't call this a romance in the traditional sense. I do feel, however, that the story could have been condensed into two thirds of its length and still have delivered. It was a bit protracted for my liking. But then, there was more time to listen to the narrator and that was never a hardship.

Worth the credit for me.

Sweet and noisy

Bit of mills and boon around the edges but the story is interesting if you like cliche good guy / bad guy thriller excitement. Performance is good given the subject ride.

Really loved this book!

I really loved this book and didn't want it to end! The narration was excellent and the storyline exciting and thought provoking. It's great to read a book not littered with vulgarity. I'll definitely be reading more from Robin Perini! Thank-you

Awesome Series

You won't want to miss this series. One of the best I've seen in ages. Thrilling plot with many twists and turns and a great cast of characters.

hated to turn it off!

absolutely loved this book and hated to stop listening. Great action and intrgue. Narrator's voices could have been better. A bit distracting at times. But a great read that you can't put down.

Another wonderful read..

Any additional comments?

What a really great read. A wonderful addition to the Montgomery Justice series. Loved Gabe and Deb. Loved Ashley, she was one brave 16 year old. Liked Floyd, Mylo and Niko. I even liked Ernie and was sorry when he was killed but not surprised. And I was so surprised at the appearance of a character from In Her Sights (not telling you who.) As to the bad guys, Jeff Gasmerati, The Warden (one sick puppy), Sheriff Tower and the Russian? They all got exactly what they deserved. This was a real page turner and I was up until 3:00am reading it and then finished it today while I had my morning coffee. It's just a shame that Ms. Perini takes a year or more to write the next book. Had I known that I truly doubt I would have started the series. I really need to pay better attention when I start a series and make sure all the books are out before I start them. By the time the next book comes out I will have forgotten what the others' were about. Bummer.. None of the books are cliffhangers but you have to keep reading if you want to know about each Montgomery man. So, another 3 years before the six brothers have their own book. And then there's Whitney, the half sister, so maybe 4 years. That's way to much waiting so this one is it for me.

As to the narrator: This is the first time I've listened to Todd Haberkorn but I would definitely listen to him again. He did a great job on the voices and he had terrific emotions. He laughed, murmured, whispered, yelled, you name it and he did it. Just like a narrator aught to do.
