Publisher's summary

Everyone is busy. And it’s killing us all.

Hurry is the new normal. When someone asks us how we’re doing, we tell them that we’re "good...but busy." We want to achieve our dreams and live a significant life, so we cram our calendars with nonstop activities.

Instead of feeling fulfilled, we’re distracted, exhausted, and overwhelmed. We have too much to do and not enough time.

But it doesn’t have to be this way!

Garland Vance knows how you feel. In Gettin’ (un)Busy, he shares how he nearly burned out while leading a nonprofit, having a family, and working on his doctorate in leadership and spiritual formation. He discovered a powerful, proven, and research-driven system that will help you shed stress, accomplish your dreams, and love life. You will learn:

  • The inhibiting beliefs that keep you trapped in busyness
  • Why time management isn’t the solution
  • How to attain your biggest goals
  • The unwanted commitments that keep you from your priorities
  • How to take control of your life so that you don’t burn out
  • And much more....

If you’re ready to do less, get more done, and enjoy life, it’s time to get (un)busy!

Busyness was KILLING ME!!!

This book is so very needed for our present culture! Busyness has taken over most people's lives that I know, and it is making us sick! I work for a non-profit pregnancy resource center, (which is my passion), however, it is so EASY to get burned out with too many "good" things I can't seem to say no to! I am so thankful to Garland Vance for this rescue book he has written, combined with his practical tools, to change your life TODAY from one of anxiety brought on by the "hurry, scurry, & worry" of life to one of purpose, productivity, & peace! DON'T WAIT TO READ THIS AND SHARE IT WITH OTHERS!

Get Busy Living

I loved this book! The author does a tremendous job dismantling the myth that busyness is inevitable. He shows that it is not only avoidable, but also necessary. There are lots of great concepts developed in this book under the umbrella of gettin’ un busy. My personal favorites are: knowing your capacity, defending your yes, and setting life boundaries. I enjoyed the content as well as the narration. I’ll definitely be recommending this one to my friends and family.

Life changing

Hands down the BEST “self hep/health” book I have read. Literally brought me to tears as I checked all but one box on the “am I busy” assessment. Definitely helping to make changes!

Incredibly Powerful Life Lessons

The chapters on deconstructing identity and its role in busyness are worth the purchase price.

With our society's constant pressure to do more, measure up to the neighbors, and consistantly perform at our peak, this book contains one of the most important set of tools you could add to your library.

This book offers a process to free yourself from constraints imposed by others, but most crucially those imposed by yourself. It breaks down the root cause of our stress and rushed mindset to usher in a new way of living. There is freedom to be found here.
