Publisher's summary

Leon

When I'm looking for a hookup, I want three things: big, thick, and rough. So it doesn't make sense that I can't get my new hire out of my head. He's a tiny guy with big ideas...and he's my apprentice, which means he's completely off-limits. But he's already under my skin. And for the first time with any guy, I don't think I can hold my own against him. Physically, yes. Emotionally, no.

Auggie makes me weak.

Auggie

Growing up, I always wanted to go into the family business and follow in Dad's footsteps. Until in my senior year of high school when he told me to find a new dream. No one would let a small, clumsy guy like me on a construction site. And after trying and failing for years, I was starting to believe him.

Then LJ Constructions calls me for an interview, and when I meet Leon, he becomes my new dream. He's hot as hell, self-made, and instead of putting me down, he sees what I've always seen in myself. But I'm not dumb enough to throw away this one chance, not even for him. Not even if I really, really want to.

Contains mature themes.

Good story. Good narration.

I started this series because I like the narrators. The story is sweet and sappy with charming characters. There isn't much character development though. I actually took it a bit personally that the klutzy main character is relegated to administrative jobs. There is a reason why some people are accident prone. I am one of those people. I have sinus issues. I am not always klutzy. I was actually a college athlete. I think I would have enjoyed the resolution of this story more if the author explored why Auggie has issues rather than just using his idiosyncrasy as a way to build a connection to Leon. The premise didn't quite work for me.

The romance in the story was pleasant, and the narration was performed well by both Kirt Graves and Alexander Cendese.

Love LOVE these guys

I love these characters. Love the fumbling and uncertainty. Love the nervousness giving way in fits and starts to confidence. They read as very real people. Makes the feelings so relatable.
Casting of these narrators for their respective characters was a good fit.
This one goes in the Feel Good and Listen Again categories for me.

Butterflies in my tummy

The was the cutest storyline ever. I really enjoyed it very much. The whole series is awesome as well as the narration. This particular storyline is my favorite thus far. I'm super curious to find out what's really going on with Raff though; So get to it Saxson James! :-)

Cute love, somewhat lackluster story

So overall, I liked this story. It was cute, and had some really adorable moments between the MC's. I liked the appearances of characters from the previous books in the series. I think the part I was disappointed with was the actual storyline. It seemed like certain things were a bit flip floppy, like for instance Auggies father. In the beginning he acts like Auggie is a complete disappointment, to the point where he doesn't want him working at his company. Then towards the end he says that Auggie is well overqualified for the job Leon gave him and offers him a great position at his own company, saying he's talented and deserves better than what Leon gave him. I guess you could say this is his father trying to control him and get him to move home and not work for his competition, but that's never actually pointed out. Wer're left believing his father actually means it, and that doesn't make sense when you take his previous statements into account.
I liked the actual romance part of the story and that's the main reason I liked the book. It definitely wasn't my favorite in the series, but it was a decent book overall. Per usual the narration was great, love this narrative duo!

Sunberry part 3, Leon’s story

By far, the nastiest book in this series. It was terrific. Even though the storyline is so unbelievable, it sure is entertaining!

Big and bold meets short and awkward

Not the same feels as books 1 and 2, but enjoyable. Book three has an outsider. I thought that was interesting. And poor Piper is still giving bad advice.

Auggie is my absolute spirit animal! I love him so much!! He’s one of those people that wiggles their way into other people’s lives! And they all love him for it! This was my favorite from the series so far!

Opposites attract.

Getting Friendly is probably the most light-hearted book of this series, Leon and Auggie's story was so fun! Auggie was just a doll and I loved how he teased and loosened up Leon. Leon didn't realize it, but Auggie was just who he needed in his life.

Alexander and Kirt have been just terrific narrating this series.
