About this listen

After losing their five-month-old child to SIDS, Damien and Sophia struggle to keep their marriage from falling apart. But when Damien’s estranged grandfather suddenly passes, naming Damien heir to the private estate, Damien sees it as an opportunity for the couple to escape the empty crib at home. Upon their arrival to Loray Island, Damien uncovers horrifying family secrets his late grandfather had wanted to remain buried. Suddenly, the island Damien believed was the answer to his prayers quickly transforms into the subject of his nightmares.

The Haunting of Calhoun Mansion

I love this series❤️

All of the 4 books in this box set are amazing. I genuinely love this series but find sometimes the box sets aren't clearly labeled as such or tell you which books from the series are included. It's like they take the same or like stories and bundle them any which way for the most exposure. You really can't go wrong with any book or boxset from the Riveting series.

Editors are used for a reason

Especially for the first book, the author really should have used an editor. If they did, they should have listened to what the editor said or used a different one. Constant reference to "He said" but there were two men speaking so "He" could have meant either one of them. Names need to be used to distinguish between speakers. Also, the author frequently used "she said" or "her" but was speaking about a man, not a woman. And there was a scene where the characters were discussing the use of cannabis "yesterday". The first time was referencing a usage that same day, and then the next day "yesterday" was used again, which would have referenced it correctly. Little things like this that just continue to pile up and make the story not as good as it could have been.
