About this listen

The untouchable mafia princess falls for her family’s rival.

How cliché, right?

But that’s my love story.

Unfortunately, it’s filled with betrayal, violence, and tragedy.

As the daughter of the biggest crime boss in the country, I’m off-limits.

A forbidden fruit no man risks taking.

Except Antonio Lombardi.

My world turns upside down when I witness him killing a man.

He catches me before I can run and touches me with his murderous hands.

After he lets me go, he becomes obsessive.

My stalker.

A man who claims ownership of me.

When our families go to war, he’ll win by any means necessary.

And it starts with him holding a gun to my head and forcing me to become his wife.

Gorgeous Villain

Gigi and Antonio.Gigi runs into Antonio when she was searching for a bathroom and she watched him torture a man with a snake. (No snakes were harmed). Antino sees her when she knocks over a bucket when she tried to run. They talk and there is a connection and he becomes obsessed. Their relationship spans over some time but they aren’t really together. Their families are rivals so you have the forbidden aspect to it.
I really enjoyed this book. It is the third book in the series and I enjoyed it. You do kind of get snippets of the other couples in book ½ but I don’t think you need the full story to understand this one. I enjoyed this book and narration for it was also really book. Kylie and Tor did an amazing job narrating this. I devoured this audiobook!

Enjoyed the series but…..

I LOVED books 1-2 of this series, book 3 was okay. It may be because I binge on series a lot and I don’t need the full recap that I felt like book 3 was giving. Yeah it was from Antonio Lombardo’s POV, but it felt redundant whereas the first two
didn’t. Either way I loved all the Marchetti’s including Gigi! And of course all the Marchetti alpha anti-hero men. Great series!

The narration was fine on the first two
Books and even though I appreciate when everyone doesn’t sound the same the third narration has a serial killer voice at
Times and then you can tell when another voice was narrating for Antonio
Because the voice was so different. I’m not
Sure it was just weird. But I’ve heard worse narrations!

Mediocre

With the first book of this series, I complimented the author for not giving us a weak or stupid FMC, the second book I gave no complaints either, then she gave us Gigi here in the third book. Gigi was a pretty useless, weak-willed character until the very end when she decided to finally grow a backbone and speak up against her family’s bullying.

Also, the general layout of this story was less enthralling due to Antonio and Gigi constantly being apart. This is usually a bad move in romances unless you can make the apart time truly engrossing. I guess the plot here just didn’t snag my attention as much.

Anyway, it all came together in the end and the overall story was okay, just not quite up to the standards of the first two books.

Very mild spoiler(if really at all) Worth a credit!

I like that the couples from book 1&2 were in this book as well. I LOVE how much the Mmc loved and obsessed over the fmc & she was not a pushover or weak! You could 100% read this as a standalone HOWEVER there are parts that you’ll understand better having read the first 2 books… such as the meeting where the 2 families meet up so one family could hand a “so called” Rat off to the other family… Remembering back to how&when that happened in the other book still made me angry this time(for the girl whose loyalty was being tested). The voices were great. I rated the “Story”a 4 but I gave 5 stars for Performance& 4 stars for overall bc it was a GOOD book with GREAT narrators!

Mafia meets Romeo and Juliet

Ah this was such a fun listen. Mafia meets Romeo and Juliet.  Gigi is a mafia princess and Antonio is the son of their rival family. This book is action packed!!! 👏🏻Antonio was down bad for Gigi and I loved that he did anything and everything to marry her. 😍Antonio's daughter really stole the show for me. I loved her so much! 🥹

This is book 3 in the Marchetti Mafia series. I have not read the first two but I am adding them to my TBR after reading this one! The audiobook was narrated by Kylie Stewart and Tor Thom who are both new to me narrators. They were fantastic as Gigi and Antonio! 🩵

Read if you love
- mafia romance
- touch her and 💀
- romeo & juliet retelling
- rival families
- sassy FMC
- obsessed MMC
- single dad

Thank you so much Charity and Valentine PR for the free audiobook. I really appreciate it

Father-daughter relationship

Gigi and her dad’s relationship was beautiful. The heart emoji text…almost made me cry. Gigi and her brother’s sweet interactions also melted my heart. I loved Amara and Gigi together. I liked how the women warmed up to Gigi first. It seems like the opposite happens in most books. I love Antonio’s love/obsession with Gigi. I didn’t feel it very much coming from her, but I definitely did from him. Part of my difficulty with Gigi is she was fine with marrying someone else. That is not the “all consuming , burn the world around us” kind of love. Antonio had that in spades.

perfect story for Gigi!

I have been wanting Gigi's story for so long and Charity DELIVERED. She is the ultimate mafia princess. She knows what she wants even if it means going against her father.

I love how in this book we went backward in the time line of the first two books and we saw different events from both Antonio and Gigi's point of view.

Antonio had a heart of gold and would do anything to protect both Gigi and his daughter. Even though Gigi came from a rival family he claimed her from the beginning.

I can not wait for the next series and the continuation of this world!

Narration was PERFECTION. I honestly can not imagine anyone else doing these characters justice.

Very good better of the 3 books

I loved Antonio and GiGi story, loved how much they loved each other and how even as enemies they both compromised for love. I was not a fan of the female narrative so I gave a 4 in performance but the male narrator was excellent!
