About this listen

Disputes between Kharadron Overlords sky-captains are common - and some lead to outright conflict. Such is the case as the Black Eagle is bombarded by its sister ship of Barak-Zilfin, the feared Skarskorr's Glory. But this is more than just a battle of arms.

The wits of the skyvessels' captains - and their knowledge of the obscure tenets of the Kharadron code - will be tested, and only the most knowledgable, determined and, perhaps, willing to cheat will see victory....

A Code of Honor

Short and well done, would recommend for anyone who wants a quick Age of Sigmar tale about the sky dwarves.

A good tale of Sky-Captains.

Not being overly familiar with the Age of Sigmar universe, this story seems to require little from the audience as it drops you into the thick of the action - no prior experience required.

Great performances with believable characters, and the ride from start to finish was something that will leave the listener wanting to repeat the story a couple more times for the desire to return to the universe, the pull to listen to the story again and again, is overwhelming.

Worth the time and coin.

Perfect for a Short Commute!

Perfect for a short commute. It's a fun little story and a nice intro for the Karadrone Overlords (sp?)

A story of privateers, cannons and Warhammer!

One of my first short novella type entries in the Warhammer Fantasy Universe in the last 10 years. Honestly it holds up really well. it is a super short story (I want to say 20 minutes in audible), but interesting and sparks me wanting to hear more.

Sadly it does read a bit like a chapter out of book (which is why four stars not five), but like the Warhammer fantasy novels I read back in the 90s, it is pretty good. With the cheap cost (less than $3) for the story I would call it good.

Great actors and sound effects, and a good short story to boot. I highly recommend it to any Sisters of Battle fans.

Black Library 1st Impressions

I've been into the Warhammer hobby since mid-1992. I've built and painted the models, I've played the games (in fact, I literally just finished a game), and I recently brought my 16 y/o into the hobby. But I've never touched the literature. Until now.
CL Werner's tale of dueling dwarven sky-captains expertly narrates a quick "skirmish" table game from the perspective of the models on the table. His short story is a great entry point into the larger Black Library collection of novels, which take us much deeper into the lore behind these time-honored games. And, I don't believe this is just for fans of the games. Anyone who appreciates fantasy and/or science fiction as a genre can appreciate it simply for the fun, fast paced and witty adventure that it is.
